Liquid wastes bylaw discussed
The inaugural meeting of Kinloss council
took place on Dec. 3. in the, township office
at Holyrood.
Members for this term are reeve Barry'
Johnston and councillors David Eadie,
George McBride, David Gibb and Jim
Boyle who were duly sworn in.
The minutes of the meetings of Nov. 4
and 18 were adopted as read by the clerk.
The solicitor is to be instructed to
prepare the necessary by-laws Ahat will
allow the township of Kinloss to require
a'nd to control the fencing of swimming
pools, liquid manure tanks and other waste

Council passed a motion supporting ther
resolution of the Huron -Perth County
• Roman Cathode Separate School Board
condemning the excessive awards of the
courts which have resulted in large
increases , in the premiums for liability
insurance for School Boards and Municip=
alities.
General accounts for $92,159.93 and
road accounts for $10,482.70 were approv-
ed.
The township of Kinloss supports the
resolution of the township of Puslinch
expressing a need for a new Aggregates
Act and an aggregate extraction levy on
granular extraction in the province of
Ontario.
The snowblowing services of Glen Porter
for Washington and George Streets have
been engaged at the rate of $20 per time
and those of Ken Eadie for the waste site
$50 per hour.
