This week's activities raised the Midget
record to 5-1-1 following games in Howick,
in Ripley and at home' to Kincardine 'B'.
In Howick' on Friday night, the team
`skated to an 8 2, victory - a good effort
considering the recent lay-off.' The Luck -
now squad performed well in special
situations as they scored five power , play
goals and were perfect in the penalty
killing department. They scored two before.
giving upa goal,• and then put the .game
away with six straight. Howick did manage
the last goal but it was too little too late.
In Ripley on Saturday night the team
suffered a 7 - 3 defeat, their first loss of the
-eason. Lucknow scored early on a goal by
Brad Priestap from Jeff Walden and took a
2 - 1 lead on Priestap"s second from Chris

the third, John Vandervel'de tied the game
assisted by .Fred Flanagan but the Ripley
team powered their way to• the, victory with
four straight goals in the last 'seven
minutes to earn 'a convincing win. '
At home to Kincardine 'B' on Monday
night the Midgets took charge early. When
they scored four straight in the first four
minutes, ,the coach shuffled the lines to try
some new combinations but it didn't make/
much difference. When ,the dust settled,
they had scrambled to a 15 - 4 win. On the
scoreboard, 12•skaters shared 35 points •led
by 1'ristap with 3 goals, 2 assists, Walden
with 3 assists, 2 goals and Jeff Gibson with

pay off this time as the Mildmay goalie
stopped every shot against him;
