Relatives shower bride to be
On Sunday last a relative shower was
held at the home of Mr. • and Mrs. Kevin
Falconer for the bride to be, her sister,
Kathy.
Mrs. Gertrude Tiffin of Wingham visited
Nov. 24 with Mr. and.Mrs. Vic Emerson
and Mr. and Mrs. Frd Tiffin.
Miss Darlene Emerson accompanied
Faye and Donald Irwin to Blyth on Tuesday
.evening to attend a broomball game.
Mr. and Mrs: Fred Tiffin and Dave Gibb
were at University Hospital, London, on
Monday, where Mrs. Tiffin had a check up.
Miss Darlene Emerson visited on Wed-
nesday with Mrs. ! M. MacKenzie of
Wingham.

recently attended a dinner in .honour of
Ontario Lieutenant Governor Lincoln Alex-
ander who was in Southampton. He opened 1
the museum'. ,new military display com- ,
memorating the 60th anniversary .of Bruce
County's. Royal Canadian Legions.
The community extends congratulations
to Kim and Debbie Rintoui, of St. Helens,
and at' one time residents, of this vicinity,
on being winners at the Royal Winter Fair.
Kim had the Queen's Guineas steer and.
Debbie won the championship in . the

Moore, a former residents with her parents

This community extends their sympathy
to the family and friends in the passing of
Mrs. Herson Irwin who was well known in
this community where she was a member
of Whitechurch Women's Institute.
Mr. and Mrs. Melvin McClenaghan,
Waterloo and Mrs. Eileen Parker, Exeter
spent the weekend with Mr.and Mrs. Carl
McClenaghan. On Friday. evening all
attended the wedding reception of Mr. and
Mrs. Donald McDonald in Lucknow.
Mr. and Mrs. Hector Purdon of Strath-
roy spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs.
Angus Falconer.
The WMS meeting was held last
Wednesday at the home of Mrs. Agnes
Gaunt with nine in attendance. -Mrs.
Norma Rintoul and Mrs. Mildred Purdon
had charge of the meeting. .
Mr. and Mrs.. Hugh McMillan of Sarnia
and Mrs. Isabel Tiffin of Lucknow were
weekend visitors with Mrs. Wesley Tiffin.

Kerry Of Kitchener.
Mr. and Mrs. Cameron Simmons of
London were Sunday visitors with Mr. and
Mrs. Lorne Durnin and with his mother
Mrs. Simmons at Wingham Hospital.
Community says farewell
A community farewell party was held in
Lucknow Presbyterian Church hall on Nov.
18 for 'Mr. and Mrs. Harlow Stonehouse.
Mrs. Mary, MacGillivray, ' Mrs. Delores
Cross, and Mrs. Edna Young greeted the
fluests at the door. Mrs. Donalda Moffat on
. the piano arid Mrs. Jean Conley on the ..
banjo entertained with' musical selections.
Rev. Allison Ramsay acted as .chairman
and in a few chosen words spoke of how
Mr., and Mrs, Stonehouse will be missed in
the community. •
Messrs Austin Loree, Norman Taylor,
Dale Haldenby and Lorne Forster formed a
quarter and sang two. beautiful •selections
"Walking in Sunlight" and "You must
open the Door".' .Mt. 'and Mrs. ' Austin
Loree sang "There's joy in serving Jesus"
and "0 say but I'm glad'.' which was
enjoyed by all.
Miss Maudie Fisher read a poem
relating to Mr. and Mrs. Stonehouse's
past. Mrs. Edith Dougherty presented a
lovely picture and a 'purse of money On
behalf of the coni nunity.. Mr. and Mrs.
Stonehouse thanked everyone for their
'kindness and assured everyone/they would
miss - all their friends in Lucknow, and
invited: everyone to visit them in their new
home in Downs\'iew. Several friends spoke
regarding their friendship with •.Myrtle and
Harlow and how they would be missed in
this area.
