Several buy lottery tickets
The Lucknow and District. arena

Nomination committee appointed
The Lucknow Agricultural Society held
their regular monthly meeting on Oct. 22 in
the Community Centre.
President Bruce Skillen presided with 16
members present.
The annual meeting will be held in the
Lucknow United Church on Jan. •21, 1986.
Glen Walden and Lloyd Morrison were
appointed to a nomination committee for
four directors. ,
Many thank you cards, and letters were
received favourably supporting the manner
in which the committee conducted this
year's 20th anniversary Miss Mid Western
Ontario Beauty Pageant.
• It was decided to place a float in this
year's Santa Claus parade on Dec. 7. Due
to the high cost of renting the table for the
arm wrestling at the fair this item has been
dropped for next year. Nail driving will
take its place.
Only one exhibitor, Murray Irvin, sub- -
mitted slides for the photographic compe-
tion. He received one first and one second.
These will be forwarded to Toronto for
further judging in February.
Thirty-one 4-H, members sponsored by
the Lucknow Agricultural Society complet-
ed projects this past year.
Gloria Messenger won first 'place in the
logo contest. She will receive $20.00 and a
plaque for her efforts.

SHEPHERD - Bob and Karen are delighted
to announce the safe arrival tff their
daughter, Nicole, Isobel, born on Oct. 19,
1985 at Alexandra and Marine General
Hospital, Goderich and weighing 7 lbs. 9
oz. She is a wee sister for Tanya., Proud
grandparents are Robert and Isobel
Shepherd of Lucknow and Arnold and
Joyce Stothers of Nile.
Bruce and Dale Skillen,' Glen Walden,
Melissa Becker, Miss Lucknow Fall Fair, •
and Ross and Elaine Frrington attended a
district meeting in Teeswater , on Oct. 26.
Ross conducted a workshop for -secretaries
and presidents.

the ladies with 231 and Val Matthews
rolled high triple with a score of 515.
For the men. Jim Lavis had high single
with a score of 185. and Evan Keith
rolled the high triple with508.

Tena Gardner was high bowler for the
ladies. She rolled a 218 single and a 345
double. For the men, Dave Swan came
Out on top with 190 single and a 343
double.

with a 218 and Delores Van Osch
bowled the high triple with a 531. One
bowler had a game of 200 and over and
she was Linda Andrew' with 218.
