The Lucknow and: District Drop In Center
opened for its second year this fall and

"The village donated the facilities, and
the seniors' organization in Lucknow
loaned the center a number of tables,'' said.
Rev, Merelyn Letson:
The center was the brainchild of George
Garratts but"he didn't have enough time
to get 'the center underway".
"There isn't any structure; just,a variety
of games euchre and shoot are popular. ,
It`s very informal, they play what they
enjoy.".
Although there isn't • an age limitation
placed on those able toi use the center, the
two card tables andthe one table playing
crokinole were manned by older residents
of the village and area.
A donation is made for refreshments and
that is the single cost and an, optional one
at that.
The minister stressed that the center is
non -denominational., "I was sharing in that
as a citizen of the community."
The center reopened Oct. 21 and is open
from 2 - 4 p.m. on; Mondays and Fridays
through winter.
