Hallowe'en Dance
On Oct. 26 a strange assortment of
creatiures invaded the Dungannon Agricul-
tural Hall. The first 10 spooks received
mugs as they entered. Even the. • most
'hideous looking ghosts seemed to enjoy the
excellent music provided by the Star
Spinners.
At eleven o'clock the goblins joined in a
• parade •on the dance floor and, lo and
behold, some of them shed their. outer
covering to reveal that ,they were really just
some fun loving people celebrating Hallow-
e'en.
Even though every one of the creatures
deserved prizes, the judges came up with
the following winners and presented each
of them with $5.
The best dressed couple was an ewok
and a gremlin alias Don and Gerry Upthe-
grove. The best dressed man was a pirate
alias Cathy Dougherty. The .best dressed
woman was. Dolly' Parton, better known as
Michelle Brindley. The most original prize
went to an overgrown rooster, Alex
Chisholm. The most humourous creature
was a scarecrow who • turned out to •be
Lynda McNee. A man who walked back-
wards' all night was chosen as the most
unusual . and who revealed herself to be
Judy Draper.
After enjoying lunch, the strange group
all returned to their own caverns until next
