WILLIAM GLAZIER
GODERICH, ONT.
Goderk•h has lost an old and re-
spected citizen by the death of Mr.
William Glazier, who passed away at
his honer, corner East street and Cam-
bria road, on Tuesday. Mr. (Hazier
was in his sixty-ninth year. He was
bore la Tipperary, Ireland. and earn
10 Canaria ween be was eight years of
age. For twenty years he was in the
hotel business, at Port Albert, Dungan-
non and Dunlop, and for about tvs
years he was engineer on a Getern-
ment tug. Over twenty years ago he
became a resident of Goderich, and for
the last seventeen yarn he had been em-
ploye4 at the municipal power station
at the harbor. He was active until
about a month ago, when he took to

Henry, who have been visiting Mrs. El -
Hort, s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rutz. at
Golden Valley for the past two months,
returned home last Thursday. During
the latter part of the visit Mr. Elliott
took an active part in hunting and aue-

ret Step-Ch11d." given by the young
people of Victoria street United church,
Goderich, under the a°aplcee of the
Dungannon Agricultural Satiety In the
Red hall last Friday night, was largely
attended, the hail being filled to cepa-
city. The hearty applause from time to
time gave evidence of the appreciation
of the audience. Numbers were given
between acts by Hope Mutch, Ronald
Pennington and Rotel. Henry.
Productive Pullets, -Mr. Heber Eedy
is the proud possessor of about two
hundred pullets and•yearling chickens,
the pullets being of the buff Minorca
type and the yearlings white Leghorn*.
He 1s receiving a production of about
100 eggs a day. and this particularly
since eggs advanced in price. Of
course anyone wishing to know the se-
cret of this excellent record of egg pro-
duction would do well to call and see
the flock, pens, methods of feeding and
system of ventilation, to learn how
such good results are obtained. Enough
to say Mr. Eedy never does things by
halves.
Institute Meetlag-Tbe regular
monthly meeting of the Women's in-
stitute was held at the home of Mrs.
G. C. Treleaven on Thursday last. The
president, Mn. Alton. presided. The
roll call was answered with "Christ-
mas recipes." MissDoris Smith, of
the Junior Institute, was present and
gave a splendid report of the conven-
tion held at Walkerton recently. Mrs.
Robt. Durnin gave en excellent paper.
The question drawer was conducted by
Dr. A. H. Vokes and some very inter-
esting questions were asked and were
answered by the Doctor. The meeting
was closed with the singing 61 the Na-
tional Anthem, after which lunch was
served. The hostesses were Mrs. J. J.
Ryan, Mrs. W. R. Stothen and Mrs. T.
Roes.
