60th anniversary celebrated
Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Irwin of R R 3
Lucknow celebrated their 60th wedding
anniversary. On Oct. 19, at the home of

Dinner follows baptism
At the. Anglican Church service on Oct.
13, Kristin Leah, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Kevin Howey, was baptized by Rev. M. J.
Letson. Following the service ' a family
dinner was held at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Delbert Hedley, Karen, Gary and
Paddy. Their guests were Kevin, Cathy,
Kristin and Michele Howey, Debbie
Hedley and Jeff Howey, Cindy Buchanan
and her friend, Barry, all of Kitchener;' Mr.
and Mrs. Lloyd Johnston, Donna, Dennis
and Douglas of concession 8; Mr. and Mrs.
Gary Charleton of London; Mr. and Mrs.
John Visser, Tracey, 'Tim 'and Becky of
concession 10; Mr. and Mrs. Mervyn
Hedley of Walkerton and . Rev. Merelyn.

Mr. and Mrs, Don, Bertrand and family
of Simcoe spent Thanksgiving weekend
with Winnifred, Bill and Brian Percy.
Thanksgiving visitors with Mr. and Mrs.
Edbert Bushell were Mr. and Mrs. George
Bushell; David 'and Janet of Ottawa and
Mrs. Kathryn Fraser, Anne, Edwin, Janice
of Armow.
Mrs. Tom IylcDonald returned home
from Wingham Hospital.

Mr. and Mrs.' Floyd Stanley of Ripley,
Mr. and Mrs. Linton Sittler of Culross and
Arthur Stanley 'visited with Mrs. Marretta
Hodgins on Thursday. Her brother Mr. and
Mrs. Leonard Stanley returned on Thurs-
day to Mason, Michigan after spending a
while here.
Mr. and Mrs. Don Bushell, Mr. and
Mrs. Bruce Bushell and Rachel of Kin-
lough; Mr. and 'Mrs. Kurt Nielsen;
Matthew . and ' Daniel, Peterborough and
Mr. and , Mrs. Brian Thompson, Brett' and
Allyson of Kincardine Township spent time
over the Thanksgiving' weekend with Mr.
and Mrs.. Glen Morningstar and Lindsay at
Port Elgin.
Leonard Stanley, while here, suffered an
acute attack of head pain and partial loss of
sight and was taken to'WinghamHospital, •
treated 'and released. His wife' Florence
and her sister Marretta gave him loving
care and he felt well enough' to return
home. • .
Kinlough WMS
The Kinlough 'Presbyterian WMS Aut-
umn Thankoffering meeting was held at
the church on Thursday afternoon., Mrs.
Don 'Bushell.presided and gave the call to
worship. She welcomed guests from
Bervie and Kinloss UCW, Teeswater WMS
and Kinlough ACW and WM. Psalm 118
was read in unison followed by prayer.
Mrs. Alex Percy and Mrs'. Don Reid gave
the Scripture, and meditation from the Glad
Tidings. Mrs.' Bruce. Bushell favoured with
'a solo "He touched me" accompanied by
Mrs. Ralph Thompson of Eden Grove.
Mrs. Glen Haldenby introduced the.
guest speaker, Rev. Merelyn Letson, who
gave . an inspiring message. Mrs. Don
Robertson expressed thanks and presented
her with a gift in appreciation.
The offering was received by Mrs. Don
McEwan and Mrs. Alex Percy and all sang
the offertory' hymn, .."We give Thee but
Thine own". Mrs. Bert Thompsongave a
reading and suitable hymnsweresung.

The president gave , the 'closing prayer
and all went to the Sunday Schoolroom for
refreshments and a social hour. '
Sunday morning, . the Bruce County
Loyal Orange Lodge worshipped with the
Anglican, congregation. Rev. Merelyn Let-
son gaven splendid message and all joined
in the service of Holy Communion. All
were welcomed toa coffee hour after-
wards, courtesy of the Master Lorne Em-
merton and his wife Linda, when a time of
fellowship was enjoyed.
Mrs. Gordon Hodgkinson of Goderich
called on Mr. and Mrs. Bert Nicholson on
Sunday. Her •husband is formerly of
Kinlough. Gordie is a patientin the
Goderich hospital and best wishes are sent
to him.
Mrs. Mary Stewart and her son Donald •
of Millarton visited on Sunday with Mr.
and Mrs. Tom McDonald.
