ing which time they drove over 3500 kilometres from the COSTA DEL'SOL in Spain

Peculiar.accideiit in village
Sunday at noon our village witnessed a
peculiar accident. A half ton truck coming
from Wingham crossed over the highway
and,, crashed into a Cadillac parked at the
west end of the former Wilkens' house and
pushed it over onto. neighbour Ivan Laid -
law's lawn with the motor still running.
The fire department had to be called in
case .of explosion. There were three tow
trucks, an ambulance which took truck
driver to,hospital for a check up and police.
Both truck and car were towed to
Wingham:
Thanksgiving dinner for her family was
held by Doris Wilkens at the home of Mr.
and Mrs. Ron Steffen, Chrissy and Susie
on Monday. Present were Mr. ' and Mrs.
Doug Ross', Michael, and Sherrylynn,
Wingham; Mr. and Mrs. Bill Wilkens,
Kimberley and Robbie, Atwood; Mr. -and
Mrs. Bruce Wilkens .and Kendra, Kitch-
ener; and Howard Ludwig.
• On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Brad Speiran,
Sara and Jill of Brussels spent Thanks-
giving with ' her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Gordon Rintoul and celebrated Sara's
birthday.
Celebrating Thanksgiving With Mr. and
Mrs. Angus Falconer 'on Saturday were
Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Falconer and Jackie,
and Mr. and Ms. Alan Falconer, Tony, Tim

On Sunday celebrating Thanksgiving
with Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Milligan were
Mrs. Mary Lou Glover of Sarnia, Mr. and

Mr. and Mrs. Doug Ward and family and
Richard Moore arrived home from their
northern hunting trip on Friday. They fail-
ed to shoot any deer or see them:

Mr. and Mrs. E.1 W. Beecroft had as
their guests for the holiday, Mr. and Mrs.
Stewart Forsyth, Walkerton; Mr. and Mrs.
Michael Chrettyk, Jennifer and Lisa Erin of
Kincardine; Ronald Beecroft, Heather,
Shannon, and Sharon Worth; Hugh and
Ken Sinnamon; and Karen Beecroft of
Kitchener for the weekend.
Celebrating Thanksgiving with their
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Elliott, and
Karen were Mr. and Mrs. David Elliott,
London; Mr. and Mrs. Barry Elliott,
Nicole, Ryan and Kyle and Mr; and Mrs.
Patti Laidlaw, Michelle and:Jason', Dorch-
ester. They came by aeroplane. Other
visitors were Mr. and Mrs. Paul Elliott,
Jeffery, Leslie and Matthew, Brussels and
Mr. and Mrs. Norman Stewart, Susan and
Heather, Lambeth.
Mr. and Mrs. Archie Purdon were on a
tour to Chatham and Kingsville.

Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Cam-
eron Courtney (nee Elaine MacTavish) who
were married on Oct. 5 in Ripley United
Church. A large crowd attended the
reception which was held in the Ripley
Complex. Elaine is the youngest daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Allan MacTavish and
Cameron is the son of Mr. and Mrs..

University Hospital on Oct. 15.

London spent Thanksgiving at their

Kathy and Rick, and Mrs. Alma Tinker of

London spent the Thanksgiving weekend at
their. home here.

The community is grateful hear that the
`'Kings Plate" restaurant is being opened
by the Kuels in the near future. With the
Wilsons' mobile home; restoration of the
