Ladies sit for
bountiful meal
The Lucknow Presbyterian Evening Aux-
iliary
uxiliary held a pot luck supper in thechurch.
on September 24. Thirty-four ladies sat
down to a bountiful meal.
Mrs. W . A. Henderson opened the
meeting' that followed with a reading which
pointed out that God lets us go without a
leash. After the opening prayer we learned
a new song, "The Motto of the- W.M.S..".
Mrs. Leonard MacDonald led us in a
devotional period using the theme, Brid-
ling the tongue - speech reveals the inner
man.
The mission study was conducted very
capably by Mrs. Jack MacDonald who led
us in considering the living conditions,
customs and difficulties of Christians in
Korea.
Mrs. Bert Moffat played a lovely,
sparkling piano solo.
Mrs. Henderson told a short story to
illustrate liow we, can choose love in our
everyday family relationships, I Peter 3;17.
After the meeting closed with a hymn
and prayer Mrs. Henderson conducted an
interesting • contest which dealt with
Biblical characters.
