Isabel E. (Chesnut) Clutton
Isabel E,. Clutton of London died on Sept-
ember 16, 1985 at St. Joseph's Hospital,
London, in, her 81st year. She was the
beloved wife of the late Hamilton M.
Clutton. Mrs. Clutton is survived by her
daughters Betty Anne Pajot of Toronto,
Jessie..Hanke of London, a son, Stewart of
Port Franks and her sister W illena Lockrey
of Port Franks. She is also survived by nine
grandchildren and two great grandchild-
ren. The funeral service was, conducted at
the A. Millard George Funeral Home,
London, on Friday, • September 20; 1985,
with . interment in Forest Lawn Memorial
Gardens.
Ella Maude Johnston
• On September 19, 1985 Ella Maude
Johnston died at Brookhaven Nursing
Home after suffering from :failing health
for .two years. She was 93.
The daughter. of W illiam Elliott and Rosa
Clark was born .in Culross Township on
February 19, 1892. She married. Gershom
Jphnston on April 21, 1915 at her parents'
home in. Turnberry Township. He . prede-
ceased her in 1973. She was also prede-
ceased by three sisters and one brother.
She was mother of Donelda (Mrs.
Stewart Smith) Kitchener; Ariel (Mrs.
Charles Wood), Seaforth; Lois (Mrs. Ross
McMichael), Seaforth; June (Mrs. ,Ed
Robinson), R R. 2, Auburn; James of.
Listowel; •Alice (Mrs. Clarence Ritchie),
Lucknow; Jack of R. R 2, St. Pauls; and,
was predeceased by Elliott, William and
Kenneth.
The Johnstons farmed in East W awa-
nosh Township until 1966' when they
retired to W ingham. As long as she was
able Mrs. Johnston was a member‘of the •
Wingham United Church UCW, White-
church Women's Institute, Mary Hastings
'women's Institute, the Second Mile Club
and the senior citizen's group.
The funeral was held September.. 20,
1985 at McBurney Funeral Home with Rev.
J. Rea Grant officiating. Interment was in
W Ingham Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Paul Johnston, David
Johnston, Bi11 Woods, Jim Robinson, Don
Ritchie and Dwight Smith. Flower bearers
were Larry McMichael, John Peacock and
Todd Schwarts.
Alexander Cunnjngham Lyons • '
Alexander Cunningham Lyons, ague 76,
of 100 Bay Street South, Hamilton, died
September 17, 1985 at his residence from a
heart attack. He was ,born December 10,
1909 on the 12th concession of West
Wawanosh. He was the third son of the late
James T. Lyons and Roseanna Hunter and
he was predeceased 'by brothers Robert
and William. ,
He is survived by his wife Pat (Pierson)
and brother Gordon of the 12th concession
of W est W awanosh and several nieces and
nephews.
The funeral .was held. on September 20
with interment in Woodland Cemetery,
Hamilton.

Home contest during
Frvate Property Week
Plans for a `Beautiful Horne Award Con-
test" to celebrate Private Property: Week,
October 6 to 14, was announced today by
the Grey Bruce Real Estate Board.
The "Beautiful Home Award" contest is
open to all residents in the jurisdictional
area of the Grey Bruce Real Estate Board.
Entry forms may be picked up at a Real
Estate Office in your area. Deadline for
entries is September 27, 1985. The winner
will be announced October 11, 1985 at the
general meeting of the Real Estate Board
in Paisley.
"The purpose of Private Property Week
is to honor the heritage of private property
ownership given to us by our forefathers."
Local real estate professionals who are •
members of the Ontario Real Estate
Association will conduct programs in their
own communities during the annual
observance to make individuals aware of
their property rights and the importance
of preserving them.
All residents are invited to join with
members of the Grey. Bruce Real Estate
Board in celebrating Private Prperty

the Junior Citizens Program, sponsored
by CP Air and Ontario Community News-
papers Association is all about. •It honours
the young people of Ontario who through '
acts of kindness 'or ,courage, selflessness
or hard work offer a shining example of
good citizenship.
All we ask is that.you+make nominations of chil-
dren you feel ought to be rewarded for their eff-
orts. Nominees should be between ages of 6 and
18. Nominations must be received before Oct-
ober 31, 1985. Twelve recipients will receive "a
plaque, a cash prize, a family photo, portrait
with the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario and a
