CGIT session starts with supper
CGIT niemters and leaders enjoyed a meal. The trictor and wagon were loaned
Travelling Supper to begin their fall
session. The group divided to have juice at'
• the homes of Mildred Cameron, &SW
•• Houston and Mildred loree. By wagon,
they 'rode to Lorraine Amold's,: Noma
Campbell's and Betty McInnes' for rolls
and relishes. Delicious casseroles were
.enjoyed at the homes of Alene Clark, Rena
McNab, Audrey MacDonald and Peggy
Henderson. Anna Mae Hunter, Catherine
• Andrew/and Marian Zinn served dessert to
•complete a most interesting and enjoyable'
by Paul Madntyre and ;the driVer was
Gordon Cayley. ; • ,
• New CGIT leaders Doreen Mali, Janice
Reid and laude Bell were introduced. The
group welcomed new members Jodi
Hackett, Kristin Owen and Janne Helm.
Everyone shared a souvenir of a ‘sununer
activity. A special cG.rr Week event will be
a 70th Anniversary Alumnae Tea on
October. 19 for all former leaders and.
members and friends of CGIT.

Kitchener residents visit area
Visiting recently at the homes of their
brothers, Harvey and Edith Webster and
charliqand Hazel. Webster, were their •
sisters, Flora and Marjorie Webster of
Kitchener. They Wo visited places of
interest and with friends in Lucknow and
area.
Friends of former Lucknow resident; Mel
King, will be sorry to hear of his death in a
nursing home in Peterborough, September .
20 in his 91st year, Many in Lacknow and
surrounding area knew Mel as he lived
where Brad and Sharon Petteplace live and
grew vegetables, strawberries and raSp-
benies for sale. His wife died in Wingharn
and District Hospital while they lived here, ,
then later Mel moved away.
• Nancy Quinn returned home from a
three week vacation visiting relativesand
friends in England and Germany.
Marie and Barry Haldenby and family
visited recently with Liarry'S parents and
other relatives and friends in Sarnia. •
Sympathy is extended to the families of
• the late. Bill Ferguson. Bill passed away
September 19. ' •
Get well wishes go to a number of 'people
whom are patients at the Wingharn and
• District Hospital, Edna Boss, Bernardine
Ritchie, Garry Sutton, Kathleen 1brster,
who had been a patient but was released
last week and Marie Button of Blyth who

fell and broke her hip a few weeks ago and
was transfened to Wingham from Strat- ,
ford.

Forsterwho celebrated their 44th wedding
anniversary on September 24.
Goldwin and Alice Purves of Toronto
visited September 21 with Bob.Purves and
• took in the Lucknow Fall Fair. They were
supper guests with Pat and Ernie Good and
girls Saturday evening..
There was a good turnout for the.
Lucknow Fair on Saturday with a wonderful '
parade.. The weather was a bit cool after
the, heat on Friday but it stayed dry, so
people were able to stand outside to watch. •

aunt, Annie Kilpatrick •

• family home during the week to attend the
funeral of Mrs. Ritchie's mother,. Mrs.
Gershom Johnston of Wingham. The
funeral was held Friday.
