Township accepts 'study
The regular September meeting of West
Wawanosh Township Council convened in
•the office at the Municipal Works Garage
on Tuesday evening, September 3, 1985. All
members attended, with Reeve Aitchison
residing.
No members present had a conflict of in;.
terest to declare at this time.
The Minutes of the August meeting Were
adopted as printed and circulated on' mo-
tion of Councillors Todd and Brindley.
County Planner Cynthia Fisher and stu-
dent planner; Scott Tousaw, attended the
meeting to present the background study
for the township, in preparation for the
secondary plan, and which.4udy Scott had
been working on during his summer
employment in the County of Huron. Scott
went through the background study brief-
ly, section by section, and highlighted
many . points of particular interest
throughout. Miss Fisher indicated that she
would probably attend. the December
meeting, prior to setting up "Line
Meetings" for the purpose of obtaining
public input' for the secondary plan. Coun-
cil menters extended their compliments
to Scott Tousaw for the ekcellent work
displayed in the background study, and
Wished him well in his final study term.
Scott expressed gratitude to council for
providing him with employment for his
final work term.
Council was informed of the road
superintendent's successful Completion of
the 1985 C.S. Anderson Road School course
in Hiunan ,Relations, and of receipt of the
appropriate decal to be placed on the cer-
tificate. ,„
The progress of the application of crush-
ed gravel and the status of the road budget
Were discussed.Road accounts in the
amount of $23,832.84 were authorized for
payment ,pnmotion of Councillors
Raynard and Hickey.
The building inspector presented two ap-
• plications for permits to council. Con-
• siderable discussion arose concerning an
application for a storage shed by R. Ulch.
Motion - Councillors Raynard and Todd:
"That the Building Inspector is hereby
authorized by West Wawanosh Township
• Council to issue a Building Permit to G.
•Errington for construction of a milk
house." Further discussion took place,
• with the result that -Councillors Raynard
and Todd retracted their motion. Moved
by Councillor Hickey and seconded by
Councillor Todd: "That Building Perniits
are hereby authorized to be issued to G.
Errington (mill. house) and R. Ulch
• (storage shed)." The motion was carried.
Council members had no objections or
• comments to make on an application by
Wim de Boer to the Ministry of Natical
Resources for apprOval to deepen the
creek bed on his property, Lot 19 and Lot
20, Concession 13.
• Motion - Councillors Todtand Raynard:
• "That West Wawanosh Township Council
• hereby approves the application for loan
for tile drainage submitted by P & J,Clark,
for part of the Lope', Concession 1."
A letter from Bob's Auto Wreckers, of
Mildmay, expressing interest in entering a
contract with the township for the removal
• of solid metal waste from the dump was
presented to Council. The clerk reported
that the company had been contacted to
obtain information to report to Council.
The company will pick up solid metal
• waste, at no charge to the township, with
the signing of a three-year contract. The
reason for the three-year .contract is
•because of their three-year Contract with a
broker for scrap metal./ Motion - Coun-
' cillors Todd and Hickey: "That the Clerk
is hereby authorized to contact Bob's Auto
Wreckers with the intent of having the
Township sign a contract for removal of
the solid metal waste from' the dump site."
General accounts in ' the amount of
$76,218.73 were ordered paid on motion of
Councillors Hickey and Raynard, and car-
ried.

Valley Hall. Winners of the first draw were
