Her study area will be health technology at either Georgian or Fanshawe Colleges. When time allows it she likes to play baseball. Her sponsor is First Choice Auctions. Donalda Thompson is 17 and is the daughter of Don and Bev of Lucknow. She is, attending F.E. Madill for Grade 12 and hopes to work in, a science related career. She currently works at the Super Scoop and includes volleyball,. Rangers and playing flute in the Lucknow Concert Band as her in- terests. Lucknow Video is her sponsor. Melissa Becker is a Grade 13 student at F.E. Madill Secondary School and the daughter of Chuck and Nancy of Lucknow. She, enjoys playing basket .ball and is also a member of the Lucknow Concert Band as a trumpeter. The 18 year old is sponsored by the. Lions Club. Diahne Wilson is also in the Lucknow band, playing clarinet. She is 17 and in Grade 12 at F.E. Madill in Wingharn. The daughter of Jim and Marg works at the Super Seoop.and is aLso represen- ting the mainstreet business. She is in- volved in a number of sports and is a member of Rangers. • Seventeen year old Mae Raynard is a West Wawanosh resident. She lives on a • farm with parents Bruce and Norma and is attending Grade 12 at F.E. Madill. She's interested in crafts, track and field and •belongs to both 4-H and Rangers. She's sponsored by. Lucknow Farm Supply. Nancy Carmichael is also 17 and is from Dungannon. Donald and Sharon Pengelly are her parents. Nancy would like to have a career working with children and hopes to earn her Early Childhood Education diploma. She also enjoys baseball and belongs to 4-H. Her sponsor is Brindley Auctions. Kim McArthur is going to Fanshawe College in London in January for marketing. She lives with her parents in Fisherman's Cove and currently works at the Ainsdale Golf Club. The 19 year old enjoys swimming, horseback riding, played clarinet and alto sax in the Lucknow Band for five years and is , taking piano. Her sponsor is Fisher- ' Man's Cove. Wilma Vander Velde of Ashfield Township is also a contestant. She's 18, attends F.E. Madill for Grade 13 and worked the past summer at the swimm- ing pool. The daughter of Ted and Fem- my' enjoys swimming, basketball . and volleyball and is also interested in . languages. Wilma is sponsored by the Lucknow Kinettes. The winner of 'the contest • will be chosen at the community centre on the evening of Sept. 14. The evening in- cludes a dance. The five teams participating were Lucknow, Kings- bridge, Port Albert, Brookside and Dun- gannon. This' league was formed to teach softball skills, encourage sportsmanlike conduct and to provide activity for boys of Grade 4 to 8.
