Tenvie for crown Although there was some concern that there wouldn't be a Lucknow Fall Fair Queen contest after only .two definite •contestant applications had been received the worry has turned out to be unfounded. Ten young women have entered the contest assuring an exciting evening when the fair queen is chosen the even- ing of Sept. 14. / Helen MacIntyre of Lucknow is an 18 year old presently attending the University of Waterloo'for Kenisiology. She's the daughter of Nancy MacIntyre and worked this summer at.the swimm- ing pool as a guard. It won't come as a surprise then that swimming is also one of the sports she is interestedin, as are baseball, and downhill and cross coun- FEATURE DL'Dl1RT try skiing. She also plays the piano and the trombone and adds knitting to her list of interests. Her sponsor is the , Lucknow branch of'the Royal Canadian Legion. Janice Cook is the daughter of Lorne and Marion of Ashfield Township. The 18 year old is presently seeking employ- ment to fund her college plans. She hopes to study as a dental assistant.
