Visiting with Rhetta MacLenna for a couple of days were her granddaughter, Cindy MacLennan of Goderich, daughter of Beth MacLennan and the late Eldon MacLennan and her friend, Sandy, also of Goderich. Warren and June Wylds have been .on holidays, recently to the Maritimes - New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. They had a lovely trip and the. weather was very good. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Robb had a very nice holiday for a few days, when they went north and 'came home by Manitoulin Island, across the bay on the M.S. Chi-Cheemaun and home. On August 27 Mrs. Robb was in Hanover 4 .: to visit her daughter, son-hi:law, and grandchildren, Bob, Sandra, Heather and grandson Darling. • • Visiting in Sudbury and 'Toronto for a few days was Dorothy Finlayson. Toth MacDonald of Fort Nelson, British Columbia, son of . Finlay and Margie MacDonald, is at home visiting with his parents, twin brother, sister-in-law, niece and nephew and ether relatives in the area. Tom's twin brother and family are George, Andrea, Julie and Michael MacDonald. Ewan and Marj MacLean visited With relative's in Sarnia .and Petrolia recently. The ladies of the W .M.S. of the Ashfield Presbyterian Church met recently at the Fanish Nursing Home Ledge and enter- tained the residents with music and song. Elizabeth, Wilkins entertainedthem with her talent at the organ. Lunch was served and a social hour was had by all. Harvest is the subject of rollcall • MIS. William' MacPherson was the August hostess for the Kinlough Presby- • terian W.M.S. Eleven ladies answered the . roll call with a verse or thought on Harvest. The usual opening exercises were follow- ed with the devotions by Mrs. Don Bushell• : We read our own backyard and summer audit poems, closing with a prayer. Mrs. Frank Maulden conducted a • Missionary review. When letters were read from missionary workers in India, Japan, (Mauritius in the South Sea Islands), Napel and a letter was read from Miss Mary Nickol. A 'contest was held on books of the Bible. Mrs. Bruce Bushell read the origin Of, Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me. • A lovely letter was read from Miss Clara Henderson from Malawi who is the daughter of Reverend and Mrs. William • Henderson of LucknoW; also one from Mrs. • Linda Inglis from Malawi. This was followed by an oral Bible contest and a prayer by Mrs. Frank Maulden. Tentative by May BOI;le' • • plans for an evening of sacred music were unanimous which will be held soon. • Mia. Don Bushell gave the courtesies followed by the 'grace and refreshments. •'George Burt and the boys of Toronto enjoyed a holiday here with his parent's; Mr. and.Mrs. Bill Burt and bmther Terry. Mr. and Mrs. Ezra Stanley of .thcloiow visited Monday evening with Edna and , May Boyle and on Tuesday evening Mr. and Mrs. Jack Scott of Ripley.were visitors at the same home. • Mrs. Weir Eckenswilier returned home after surgery from Kincardine and Distriet Hospital.
