Bruce study accurate report
The Christian Farmers Federation of
•Ontario has concluded that the Bruce.
County Agricultural -Study is an accurate
reflection of the serious financial adjust-
ment taking place in that county.
• In a statement the Federation suggests
• that the Deloitte, Haskins and Sells study
• provides good insighOnto the adjustments
• taking place across the province.
As a result the Federation has renewed
its call for targetted direct financial
assistance as a sound option for providing
long-term assistance to the 30 per cent of
farm families whose equity is eroding.
• The Federation believes that. legislation
• providing for a formal program of debt
set-aside is urgently needed and believes
that the report of the Grey -Bruce Farm
Financial Review I3oard has provided a
reasonable concept for the effective opera-'
tion of a third -party review.
