gan and Dave Proctor'of Clinton, Michigan
spent Saturday evening with Mrs. Gert-
rude 'Tiffin of Wingham.
Congratulations from the community to
David Ross and Kim Dodd, who were
married Saturday at 4 p.m. in Chalmers
Presbyterian Church, Whitechurch by Rev.
William Henderson. Dinner was served in
the Whitechurch Community Memorial
Hall., The reception was held in Teeswater
where a large crowd gathered.
The Morrisons held a family reunion for
relatives at the home of Arnold Morrison of
Charles Street, W inghain on /Sunday after-
noon. Tables' were set up in the garage for
lunch. Games were played by the young-
sters. Present for the occasion were
relatives, from Michigan, Dublin, Listowel,
Culross, Whitechurch, Wingham, Lucknow
and Kinloss. •
A shower was held in the Community
memorial Hall on Wednesday evening' for
Karen Quipp, a bride-to-be, A crowd of
around 50 gathered to honour her. Mrs.
Pewtress and Cathy Edgar conducted
contests. She received many beautifdl gifts
for which she thanked those who sponsored
the shower and the folks for coming and
their gifts. Lunchwas also served.
Karen Beecroft of Kitchener spent the
weekend with her parents Mr. and Mrs. E.
W. Beecroft.

Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. E. W . Beecroft.
Mr. and Mrs. Hector Pardon of Strath-
my and Mrs. Isabel Tiffin of Lucknow
spent . the weekend with Mrs: Cassie
Mowbray.
We are sorry to report that Mrs Angus
Falconer is confined to hospital for a few
days for tests. .
On Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Elliott
and Karen visited Mr. and Mrs. Doug
Hayter of. Thedford, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce
Elliott at Arkona, and in London with Mr.
and Mrs. David Elliott.
The 4-H club workshop is being held in
August. Any girl 12 years of age by

Mrs. Elroy Laidlaw attended a birthday
party at Huronview for Percy Vincent, after
they visited with Mr. and - Mrs. Joe

Agricultural Society meeting held
Lalcknow Agricultural Society met on
Tuesday, July 23 for their regular' meeting
with 15 members present.
Plans were finalized for the 15th annual
Craft t• estival on August 2 and 3. All space
itiside has been booked for some time. A
few crafters are hoping the weatherman
will co-operate so they can set up outside.
Donations from Hut -on Hay of $75.00 and
Huron Poultry Club of $10.00 were
received after the prize book•,dvas printed.
The elementary school work was judged
at Brookside School on July 16.
Committees were set up for the Demoli-
tion Derby ori Friday, August 9• at 7 p.m. at
the Trsictor Pull Site.
Ramps have been built at the arena to
prevent any further accidents as you
approach the arena floor.
Advance tickets, will be sold for the
Carlton Show Band which will appear at
this year's Fall Fair.
