Tri -County CGIT members from inni-
gannon, Pine River, Incknow, Wingham,
Atwood and Seaforth loaded. and boarded
buses on June 21 to go to Algonquin Park
for the celebration of CGIT's .70th birthday.
After a long ride, everyone set. up camp at
Mew Lake. , • • :
A total of 1,250 CG1T members from
across Ontario and a feitfrom Quebec were
shuttle Ibussed to Peg Lake Outdoor
Theatre for the Friday evening programof
singing, a slide , show by the Algonquin
Park staff and .Vespers; .• •
.Representatives front' the" Tri -County
groups led the Vespers On the weekend
theme "The Lord God' Made Them All".
Back at. the camp sites, 'everyone settled
into tents, for the night. • Some didn't get
much sleep, worrying about bears while
actually it was a mobil who tried to steal
the goodies. Moose were also sighted
several times. • • •
On Saturday, CGIT members participat-
ed in two activities from choices of crafts,
• canoeing, hiking, and recreation. Leaders
. helped with some: activities. and attended •

Outdoor Theatre Sunday morning. How-
ever, the rain showers came again. While
some prepare(' to attend the outdoor •
church service and birthday celebrations at 1.1
nig Lake, many groups packed up and •
headed. forhome. R was sad to miss the •
sight of a hillside of CGITmiddies. •
Everyone enjoyed meeting new friends
from 'other groups and having a great
camping experience.

a. craft show this year. But Ripley won't

ture Society Is Sponsoring the first
Ripley -Huron Craft Festival that weekend,
with more than sixty exhibitors anxious to
display their ctafts.
