Honours list at Conestoga College after the graduation from the Health Care. Aide course
on June 22. Both are employed at the Pinecrest Nursing Home in Lucknow. �.

Dianne Humphrey and Peggy Taylor
graduated from the Conestoga College of
Applied Arts and Technology from the
Health Care Aide course on June 22, 1985.
Dianne and Peggy were both on the .
• President's Honour list. Membership on
the list is, earned through scholastic
addevemen_t `and by achieving an "A" in
all courses of their program.
In, recognition of this achievement the
President presented the ladies with a Guild
Shield. appropriate .to their program.. The.
. shield Symobil zes the.excellenoe' achieved
by Conestoga graduates and is emblematic
of the. tradition 'and: historical relationship.

• Dianne and Peggy took the Health Care,
Aide :course at the Clinton Campus. They
maintained an "A". in all tests and exam
inations in the courses as well as being
graded on their excellence in nursing care
and their show of concern and understand -0
ing of the physical and emotional needs of
the elderly.
During their training they did clinical
hours at Huronview in Clinton, Brookhaven
Nursing Home in Wingham, and Pinecrest
Manor, Lucknow. As an additonal to the
training of the course, they took. a Course in
Cardiopulmonary ' Resuscitation- to the
Standards of the Canadian Heart Founda-
tion' at the level of Heart Saver, which
Would be.a benefit tothem in .their field of •
work.
Both are employed at Pinecrest Manor
Noising Home in Ludmow. Dianne has
been employed . there for five years and
Peggy has. been at Pinecrest for the past
three years. '>
Sunday :school picnic held
Graham Robert Macleod Cook, son of
Cathy and Kevin Cook, was baptized on
Sunday, June 30th at Ashfield Presby-
terian Church.
Congratulations to ' Mr. and Mrs. Van
Osch (Radke) on . their marriage at Sault
Ste. Marie on Saturday, June 29.
A shower was held Monday, July 1 for
Helen Kempton at the Pine. River 'Hall.
Ashfield Sunday school held their picnic
on June 30. Everyone enjoyed an afternoon
of funand games and a pot luck supper.
Cathy Dalton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Clete Dalton, won the Paul ' .Riegling .
Memorial Primary Music Award.
Congratulations to all students who
successfully completed their school year.

New York. Mildred was visiting her,
mother.
Valerie Benitez who has spent the past
year with Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Hogan
left to go - bade to South America on

Mrs. .Marie (Courtney) Judge, her
daughter and granddaughter, Nina and
KINTAIL
Jodi Bentley of Jackson, Michigan, visited
with Con and Vivian Hogan over the
weekend. They also visited with the
Courtney and John Austin family of Kings-
bridge. •
Congratulations to'Brian and Helen Van
Osch (nee Kempton) who were married
Saturday, July 6 at St. /'Joseph's, Kings-
bridge.. A , large crowd attended their
reception in the Ripley Complex.
Kathy MacDonald of Fredrictonis home
visiting with her father, Ray Dalton and
family.
Cathy, Kevin, Jessie and Jeannie Cook
went to London to ' visit Kevin's brother
David who is a patient in, the hospital. They
also *enjoyed an afternoon at. Storybook
Gardens. •
Cletus and Mary Louise Dalton and
family enjoyed a few days in Niagara Falls
on the weekend. .

include sanitary sewage treatment that
would service the Luckriow core area. Now,
says Mr. Burns, grants are now available
for fame owners in outlying areas with a
sewage problem in order to repair the

Phase one of the environmental assess-
ment study, which was to be released by
mid fluty will be delayed until sometime at
the end of July, says Mr. Burn's. The next
public meeting will be announced in
August.
