Alex Whytock of Teeswater.passed away
at Wingham and District Hospital Satur-
day, May 25, 1985 after a long illness. He,
was 85 years of age. ',
Mr. Whytock was barn in Culross Town- ,
, ship on ,July 31, 1899, a son of the late•
, (Whytock and Agnes Watson. On
June 20, 1928 he married Ethel Bannerman
•,• of Kinloss and together they, farmed until
their retirement to Teeswater in1964. He
was a member of Knox Presbyterian
Church, Teeswater.
Surviving. besides his ' wife, are three
-sons, Everette of ' Culross,, Lloyd of
Lucknow; and Carman of Whitechurch;
nine grandchildren, eight great grand-
children and one brother, Ford of Owen
Sound.: ,• - , • , ,
He was predeceased by a son, Harold
Herbert in 1968, his twin brother, , Bill and
a sister Eva. . .
• Funeral service was -held at the Mac-
Pherson Funeral Home On May 27, 1985 at
2 On. with Robert Shaw officiating. ,•
• Pallbearers were grandsons,'Barry Why -
tock, Wayne Whytock, Jack Whytock; Jim
• Whytock, Ron Dore and •Jim Keller. •
Honorary pallbearer 'was Garry Whyt-
ock. Flowers were carried by granddaught-
ers, Ruth 'Dore and Donna Keller,
Interment , was at Teeswater Cemetery.
Lawrence Russell Campbell
Lawrence Russell Campbell of R .R. 7
Lucknow died of a he'art. attack in St.
Joseph's Hospital in London on Thursday,
June 6, 1985. He was in his 76th year.
Born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on
September 30, 1909, he was ,the son of the
late Margaret Klingskilli and the late
Russell Campbell.
Mr. Campbell retired in 1975 from
ZenikElectrical Supply after more than 15
years of °service. Ile was a member of the
United Church in Lucknow and was a
former member of the Lions Club- and the
Masons. He married Lois Mane Adamson
in Weston on March 27, 1948.
He is survived by his wife, Luis Marie
Adamson, formerly of Toronto, son Peter
Campbell of Springfield, Virginia and
daughter, Claire Moxon of Toronto. He is
also survived by one sister, 'Mrs. Harold
-Wyman-of Ottawa.
The funeral service was held at the
Mackenzie and McCreath Funeral in
Lucknow on, Sunday, June 9, 1985 at i
Rev. Warren McDougall officiated.
Flower bearers were Donald Hackett,
Jim Hackett, Wayne Hackett and Barbara
Hackett.
Pallbearers were Bany Hackett, Ralph
Adamson Jr., Bob Hackett, Terry Adam-
son, Garnet Davidson and Kenneth • me.
Trinity UCW holds -
grandmothers meeting
Trinity U.C.W . held their annual grand-
niother's meeting on June 43 at the home
of Mrs. Warren Zinn, with an attendance
of 36 ladies and four children.
Mrs. D. A. Hackett called the meeting to
order with a verse. Mrs. Arthur Scott read
the scripture. All sang a hymn and Mrs.
Fred Phillips read, A MOther's Prayer.
Mrs. Scott gave the meditation and spoke
of how they had enjoyed the past five years
among the Trinity members. Several
-merribers assisted with a benediction
prayer.
The roll call was answered with each one
showing a picture of their Mother. Mrs.
Murray Irvin gave two short readinp.
Mrs. Phillipa conducted the Bible Study on
"Possible Results of Problems and Afflic-
tion". Mrs. Chester Hackett read a poem.
followed by a solo by Mrs. Arthur Scott.
Mrs. D. A. Hackett led in prayer..
During the business, Mrs. Warren Zinn,
on behalf of the society, made a presenta-
tion of a gift to Mrs. Arthur Scott.
Following another hymn, a social hour was
enjoyed by all. ,
