officers were installed.
Elected to positions were, president,
Dean Agnew; vice president, Merlene
Bergman; treasurer, Marlene Struthers
and secretary, Barb Cranston. Team cap-
tains and their assistants were also chosen.
The captains are Maureen DeBruyn,
Delores Van Osch and Barb Helm. The
assistants are Marlene Struthers, Bath
Cranston and Nancy Gibson.
The ladies established a healthy budget
from the catering done throughout the
year. This money is being put towards
several worthwhile projects in the com-
munity.
The ladies will donate $100 each year for
the next five . years to the Lucknow Meals
on Wheels. Also, a sum of $3,000 was
donated to the Lucknow and District Sports
Complex. The Lucknow lions Club will
receive $200 which will go towards
purchasing a puppy for the leader dog
school. Finally, a donation of $250 will be
given to the Tornado Disaster Fund.
Special guests at the gathering were
Dorothy Bordeaux and June Hayter from
Goderich lioness Club. They informed the
ladies about the procedures of a formalized
club and some of the fund raising activities
their ladies have participated in.
