Wedding anniversary celebrated in Wingham hospital

Uuldricks had to be taken by ambulance to
Wingham Hospital on Tuesday. The com-
munity wishes her a speedy recovery.
On Friday, Mrs. Ron Steffen, Susie Ann
and Crystal of Whitechwerecallers
on Mr. and Mrs: Victor Eme son.
Mr. Rod Lamb was or ained at St.
Marys Presbyterian Church on . Wednes-
day, May 22 at 8 p.m. Attending from
Whitechurch were Mr. and Mrs. Walter
Elliott, Mr. and Mrs, Archie Purdon, Mr.
and Mrs. Elroy Laidlaw, Mr. and Mrs.
Dave Moffat, Mr. and Mrs. Don Ross and.
Rev. Pail and Mrs. Mills.
Rev. Robert Shaw was a caller on Mr.
and Mrs. Victor Emmerson on Thursday.
Congratulations from the4community to
Mr.. and Mrs. Wesley Tiffin who celebrated
their 58th Wedding Anniversary, Friday at
Wingham and District Hospital where
Wesley is a patient.
' Mr. and Mrs. Hugh McMillan of Sarnia
and Mrs. Isobel Tiffin of Lucknow were
visitors with Mrs. Wesley Tiffin.
Mrs. Steve Irwin and Cody of Lucknow
were Saturday callers on Mr. and Mrs.
Victor Emerson. •
Rev. Rod Lamb and Mrs. Lamb left on,
Monday to take up their new appointment
at Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia on the Nor-
thumberland Strait opposite P.E:I.
Rev. Lamb will have four sermons every
Sunday as Tatamagouche is composed. of
Walluse, Pugwash and The Falls. We wish
them success in their new charge.
The community extends sympathy to
• Mr. and Mrs. carman Whytock and Jackie
in the passing of Mr. Alex Whytock of
Teeswater. His funeral was on Monday.
We also extend sympathy to Mr. and Mrs.
Keller -of Whitechurch.
Guests this week at the Manse were Mr.
and Mrs. James Lamb of Boddeck, Nova
Scotia, his .parents and her mother, Mrs.
A. Cormack of Ottawa.
Mr. and Mrs. Tom Day, Richard and
Johne of Ottawa attended the wedding in
Toronto of Peter Day's son Iain Day and
Beth Ebanhart on Saturday. A reception
was held at Montgomery Inn.
Due to a fall on Saturday, Mrs. Cassie
Mowbray had to spend the weekend in
Wingham Hospital. The community
wishes her well.
Mrs. Myrtle Irwin, a day care represen-
tative, worked for Mrs. Emerson on Fri-
day as the former Mrs. Templeman had to
attend to emergency cases.
Mr. and Mrs. E.W. Beecroftl visited on
Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Kirk 'Beecroft,
Janis, Jonathon, Jennifer and Angela of
Exeter.
Mr. and Mrs. Russel Gaunt of Wingham
visited with Mr. and Mrs. John de Boer '
and boys on Thursday.
Guests' during the weekend with Mrs.
Norma Rintoul were Mr. and Mrs. Gordon
Campbell and Heather of Richmond Hill,
Mr. and Mrs. Neil Rintoul, Steve, Sec tt and
Stuart, Mr. and Mrs. Mack Cardiff of
Brussels, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Robinson,
Mark, Tracy and Tim.
Anniversary. services were held on Sun-
day at the Presbyterian Church with Rev.
Robt. Shaw as guest speaker.
In . the evening Rev. Shaw presented
more of his sermons. Lunch was served
after the evening service.
Mr. and Mrs. •.Ron Nicholson, Erin,
Ryan, and Craig of Egmondville spent the
weekend with Mr. and Mrs. John de Boer.
Mr. and Mrs. Carl McClenaghan visited
on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Sacks
of Ayton and wilin idir. and Mrs. Brad
Sacks of Toronto.
Guests on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs.
Walter Elliott were Mr. and Mrs. David
Elliott of London and Justin Elliott of
Wingham and Mr. and Mrs. Barry Elliott
and family.
Rev. Robert Shaw was a dinner f ;nest
with Mr. and Mrs. Dave Moffat.
Club entertained
The Lucknow Town and country Club
were entertained by employees of the
Bank of Montreal on May 21.
On the same date, the club held a pro-
gressive euchre tournament .with seven
tables in action. High lady was Anna Dex-
ter and the high man was Les Purvis. The
prize for the most lone hands went to Cora
MacDonald. The hidden score prize was
won by ,Augusta Lemoine. Low lady was
Mary Loth and the low man was Andy .
Scott.
Anna Johnstone thanked the ladies
representing the Bank of Montreal and a
lunch of sandwiches, relishes and squares
was served courtesy of the Bank of Mon-
treal:
