Congratulations from the4community to Mr.. and Mrs. Wesley Tiffin who celebrated their 58th Wedding Anniversary, Friday at Wingham and District Hospital where Wesley is a patient. ' Mr. and Mrs. Hugh McMillan of Sarnia and Mrs. Isobel Tiffin of Lucknow were visitors with Mrs. Wesley Tiffin. Mrs. Steve Irwin and Cody of Lucknow were Saturday callers on Mr. and Mrs. Victor Emerson. • Rev. Rod Lamb and Mrs. Lamb left on, Monday to take up their new appointment at Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia on the Nor- thumberland Strait opposite P.E:I. Rev. Lamb will have four sermons every Sunday as Tatamagouche is composed. of Walluse, Pugwash and The Falls. We wish them success in their new charge. The community extends sympathy to • Mr. and Mrs. carman Whytock and Jackie in the passing of Mr. Alex Whytock of Teeswater. His funeral was on Monday. Cormack of Ottawa. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Day, Richard and Johne of Ottawa attended the wedding in Toronto of Peter Day's son Iain Day and Beth Ebanhart on Saturday. A reception was held at Montgomery Inn. Due to a fall on Saturday, Mrs. Cassie Mowbray had to spend the weekend in Wingham Hospital. The community wishes her well. Mrs. Myrtle Irwin, a day care represen- tative, worked for Mrs. Emerson on Fri- day as the former Mrs. Templeman had to attend to emergency cases. Mr. and Mrs. E.W. Beecroftl visited on Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Kirk 'Beecroft, Janis, Jonathon, Jennifer and Angela of Exeter. Mr. and Mrs. Russel Gaunt of Wingham visited with Mr. and Mrs. John de Boer ' and boys on Thursday. On the same date, the club held a pro- gressive euchre tournament .with seven tables in action. High lady was Anna Dex- ter and the high man was Les Purvis.
