ST. HELENS

Mr. and Mrs. Edward Shetler and family
have re -located .in the area. They now
reside in the former Gordon MacPherson
residence.
Mr. and Mrs. Ross Errington recently
enjoyed the company of Brenda Naylor and
her son, Tom. The Naylors are from
Dauphin, Manitoba and are former area
residents. They were accompanied on their
trip by Marlene Toisson.
Area creeks have been hit by anglers in
the area. Although lots of fishermen were
busy, no exceptional catches were report-
ed. _
The Women's Institute was out collect -
Mg in the area for the annual Cancer drive.
Mr. and Mrs. Ray Laidlaw of ,Wingham
were recent visitors with Helen Todd and
Isobel Miller.
.A pot luck supper was held at the St.
Helens hall last Monday evening. In spite
of most farmers being on the land, there
was a good turn out at the supper.
Mr. and Mrs. Rick Humphrey, Ellen and
Christopher, returned home to Clinton.
The Humphreys lived in the Clark house
for the winter.
Mr. and Mrs. Russel Good were Sunday
visitors with Mr.; and Mrs. Gordon Lyons.
Mr. and Mrs. Don Taylor and family
travelled to London on Saturday to attend
the 50th wedding anniversary of Marlene's
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ron Sprague. The
Spragues are former St. Helens residents.

Mother's Day cake, which was later won as
a door prize by Joan Page.
A second cake decorated by Wayne
Murray was won by Matthew McCready
and flowers were won by Andrew White.
Wayne was thanked by Sherri Murray and
presented with a gift by Tammy Sutton.
The Reids Corners club presented a skit
which was enjoyed by everyone. After the
skit, Barb Klages presented the awards of
achievement to the girls and their leaders.
