My Grandma's bird Cate and Kittens
The mother cat has pretty babies and
some have girl kittens or boy kittens. And
they • come in pretty colours like black or
brown and yellowish -brown Dolours and
some times " beige and gray. And they
aren't all the same. They are pretty and
different kinds. There may be eight kittens
in a litter, but very young or old queens
may produce only one or two, while a litter
of thirteen has been recorded. The kittens
are born blind and deaf, but their eyes
open in a few days. They are weaned at
about 2 months, but often stay with the
mother and get anoccasional suck until
cr_.quite a lot older.
My Grandma's.bird is named Joe. When
I play the piano he sings with me. Grandma
cleans the cage every day and he really

some pussy willows and you might see a
robin. You can ride your bike and, you can
play in the sand if its not dried up. You can
also play with a hullahoop or splash in the
water. But you better not get in the mild or

Interview with our
school trustee
On April 9th I had the pleasure of
interviewing Mrs. Armstrong.
She is the representative for our school.
She was .encouraged by a neighbour to seek
election on the Bruce Board of Education
back in the fall of 1980. She represents the
townships of Culross and Kinloss and the
villages of Lurknow and Teeswater. Mrs. /7
Armstrong is now in her second term, at
the enol of her first term there was an
election but no one ran against her. There
will be another election this November.
When asked, "What makes a good
qualified board member?" She hoped it
would be someone interested in the educa-
tion program..
She enjoys being apart of the -board, she
has learned a lot about how the system is
set up, and she has met a lot of people who
have become friends.
Another question she was asked was,
"How do you hope to succeed as a board
member of the Bruce Board of Educa-
tion?" She said she would like to get
re-elected this fall; she likes to represent
the people fairly, and take their concerns to
the board. '
