One woman story telling show
. coming to Blyth Festival
Saturday; May 4, 1985 will be a big day
at the Blyth Festival as Helen Carmichael
Porter will perform her one -women story
'telling show forchildren at the Blyth
Memorial Hall at 2 p.m,
Actress -Storyteller Helen Carmichael
Porter has been touring a collection of
one -women shows with stories on various
themes for the ,past two years. ,She has
performed in universities,' galleries, mus-
eums, theatres and schools in Toronto and
. Men's high was Ian Dougherty with a
single of •249 and a double of 396. Art
Burrowsihad a 215 single and a double' of
356.
Ladies high Grace `Geertsma with a
single of 218 and a. double of 353.

Helen Porter's form of story telling is
called "narrative theatre". Not only is she
narrating the story, she becomes , we
characters in it too. Her face, eyes,. mouth,
hands - her whole body is' used, as an
actress would, to relate the story.
