In the next instant, Rev. Arthur Scott, their coach, stands the boys up and the match is resumed. For the past year on Saturday mornings, a group of nine boys, aged 6 - 12, meet at Brookside School to practise the demand- ing sport of wrestling. Rev. Scott, who has been active in teaching and competing in wrestling, instructs the boys on the tech- niques involved in the sport. Last Wednesday the club attended a wrestling meet at the William Ross MacDonald School for the Blind in Brant- ford. Eight of the nine members of the club competedin the tournament with each having two matches. The team accumulat- ed four wins in the total of 16 matches. "The guys gained good experience at the meet," said Rev. Scott. "I thought they did quite well." FEATURE REPORT Rev. Scott, a minister at St. Helens and Trinity United Churches, said the club was established to give some area youngsters a sporting outlet other than hockey. "W e pretty well started the club because we came across a number of youngsters who had tried hockey and needed another sport to play. It came out that I had wrestled, so we started- to get some guys out to the practises," he says. Wrestling has been a sport which Rev. Scott has excelled at. Legally blind since the age of 11, he first learned the sport in high school and eventually won a spot on the Canadian disabled Olympic team which competed at the 1980 Olympic games for the physically disabled.
