During the warm sunshine on/ Monday
noon hour honey beeswere out working the
crocus flowers here and could be heard
humming and were seen as they worked the
small blooms on the big silver or soft maple
at the back of the Malcolm street place.
On this, Monday morning April 15 while it,
is dull and gloomy outside there is also the
feel that spring might be here at last. •
The Rathwell and Associates, an auc-
tioneering firm from the Seaforth area, con-
ducted the sale last Wednesday at the big
"Ackert barn" - a block and a half east of
Ripley on the 8th concession in Huron
township. A good crowd was in attendance
even though the weather was rather chilly
and windy.
