Ripley ' arena, March 31 when the Ripley . Figure Skating Club
presented their annual carnival, "Ripley's Alice hi •'85", to coincide
:with the Ripley reunion to be held this summer. This bunch of cuties
consisted of Sarah Culbert; Chris Cover, Teresa Farrell, Shannon
Cliffe, Alicia Pollock, Brooke Dahmer; Cara Asties and Tania Farrell.

Classic Cooks
The fifth meeting of the Kairshea Classic
Cooks was' held on April 6.. The meeting
opened with a discussion onthe bake sale
which is to be held on May •4 :at the ,
Lucknow Legion.
Classic Cooks enjoyed a demonstration
by Nancy 'Koobs, an experienced cake
decorator. Mrs. Koobs first gave the recip-
es for soft and royal icing. She showed the
procedures for making hearts, roses,
daisies and basket weaving. Tips, were also
given •on decorating a cup cake. Each
member was then given a cup cake to try
her luck with at decorating,
Mrs. Koobs has decorated a lovely
Mother's Day cake • which the club will
raffle off at the bake sale.
Port Albert Actaioneers
The Port Albert '4-H Actibneers held
their fourth.meeting at Tracy Black's home
on March 25.
Topics . discussed included sewing a •
seam, fitting, finishing seams and pressing
knits. The members did a seam sample.
On March 18 the Port Albert Actioneers
met At Teresa Meriarn's .home. Everyone
showed their pattern and fabric for roll ,call.
Discussion included alteration of patterns,
preparing fabric for cutting and cutting out
the fabric... •
