Choose St. Patrick's theme for Kiri Roseler's bridal shower
On Saturday a shower was held in White-
church Community Memorial Hall for bride-
to-be, Kim Roseler with 38 guests present.
The hall was decorated with green shamrocks
for St. Patridks Day. As the guests were
seated theywere treated to hot cider.
A musical geography lesson contest was
conducted by Mrs. Jim Henderson. Another
contest to guess the clothes and articles Kim
would take on her honeymoon 'was enjoyed.
Guest wrote their names on an apron which
was modelled by Kim, who was escorted to
the platform where Anne Simpson and Ruth
Henderson assisted her in opening the many
gifts. Mary Simpson and Bessie Farrell
decorated a green band with bows from the
presents.
Kim thanked everyone for the gifts.
Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Emerson, Sharon and
Brenda of St. Catharines visited on Tuesday
with Vidor Emerson at Wingham Hospital
and with Mrs. Emerson in Whitechurch.
Sunday callers on Mrs.. Emerson were Mrs.
Lone Durnin and Mr. and Mrs. Fraser
MacKinnon who
also called on Vic Emerson
at Wingham hospital.
Wednesday callers on Mrs. Victor Emerson
were Mr. and Mrs. Don MCCash of Ripley.'
Agnes Farrier, arrived hone fiuim Florida.
She was met in Toronto by Carman and Mrs.
Farrier, Winnifred, and Brian Farrier, They
remained for a few days.
Bill Uuldriks brought Mrs. Uuldriks and
Victor Emerson home from Wingham and
• District Hospital on Friday.
Callers on Saturday on Mr. and Mrs. Vic
Emerson were Mr. and Mrs. Watt Webster of
Clinton. Mr. Webster played Irish music for
the folks to welcome St. Patrick's Day. Watt
plays music at rest homes in Lucknow,
Clinton, Wingham, at Huronview and any
folks he knows who are ill. He takes along his
mouth organ as well.
Mr. and Mrs. John de Boer attended a
fiftieth birthday party on Sunday for Derk
Logtenberg of Dungannon. Mrs., Ihgtenberg
and John de Boer are brother and sister.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Elliott and Karen took
their grandchildren, Michelle and Jason, who
visited them for the winter break, back home
to London on Friday.
Mr. and Mrs. Alex Craig, Lana, Ryan and
Jarret of Listowel visited Saturday with Mr.
and Mrs. Alan Falconer, Tony, rim and Amy.
Visitors last week with Mr. and Mrs. Bill
Pardon were Barbara Ann Carey of Kitchen-
er, Beatrice McQuillin of St. Helens and
Mrs. Ion Gaunt, Jennifer and Graeme'. of
Chatharth.
Karen Beecroft of Kitchener spent the

It was erroneously reported last week that
Walter Moore's car accident was on Monday
but it was on Tuesday. We hope the error
caused no inconvenience.

The March mystery meeting of the
-Whitechurch Women's Institute was -held at
the home of Mrs. Russel McGuire on. March
13th.
The president Mrs. John A. Currie
presided, opening with a poem, Erasers. The
minutes were read by .assistant secretary,
Norma Falconer. The roll call was answered
by nine members and two guests with •an Irish
Joke. The district president, Mrs. Bill
MacPherson told how this district will enter-
tain
ntertain eight members from the British Isles for
two weeks in September. Sing songs, My
Wild Irish, Rose and Whet—kith. Eyes are
smiling, were enjoyed.
Visit with Bradleys during March break
Phyllis Todd and Katie visited for a a few
days during the March break with Phyllis'
parents, Eldon and Alene Bradley. •
We are glad to see that Gerry Priestap is
home from the hospital in London and is ,
feeling much better.
George Haldenby and his wife, Cathy and
family of Sarnia visited a few days during the
week with his brother, Barry and Marie and
family. Allyson returned to Sarnia with them
for the remainder of the holiday. Marie, Barry
and the boys drove down Saturday and visited
with Barry's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harald
Haldenby and his sister, Sheila and daughter,
Debbie; also with Bob and Betty Janes. Betty
was the former Betty Maurer. Her mother
and dad lived .in ludmow where her father,
Harold worked for Gordon Johnstone and her
anther, Audrey worked at Pineaest Nursing
Home. They lived in the Mullin house on
thdgard Street owned by Dianne and Jim
Morrison. Harold passed away last year with
a heart attack, and Audrey passed away in the
Kincardine hospital last week with burial
taking place last Wednesday, March 13. We
express our deepest sympathy to the family.
Get well wishes to Ken Mowbray and to Ab
Porter. They are both patients at the
University Hospital, London. Ab's wife, Mary
Porter is a patient at the Wingham and
District Hospital.
Congratulations to Marie MacAdam and
Ron McGlynn of Belrmre. They were married
Saturday, March 16 in Belmore Church.
Marie is a sister of Donna Fischer of Gough.
Street. Donna and Ken Fischer bought the
home of the late J. Warren and moved in just
before Christmas. Sony we missed welcom-
ing you at that time, so welcome to Ludmow.
Ken works for Pollock Electric in Ripley.
Garry and. Donna Sutton and family visited
on Sunday with Gany's parents, Pearl and
Lyman Sutton of Teeswater.
William (Duffy) McQuillin and : Raymond
spent a few days over the weekend with
Richard and ,Shirley Mann of London..
• Gordon and Laura Lee Cayley spent a few
days during the winter break in Windsor.
Charlie and Bernice Davies spent the
March break in Oshawa visiting his mother.
Margaret Black and Jennie MacPherson
visited Beverley and Jim Yundt and family of
Kincardine on Sunday and celebrated Jen-
nie's and Jilline's birthdays as they both
have a birthday on Mardi 18. Jillene is the
daughter of Beverley and' Jim and the great
granddaughter "of Jennie MacPherson.
Visiting with Spence and Mildred Irwin on
Wednesday were Laura and Janice Irwin cit
Oshawa. They returned home on Thursday.
