Pee Wees play Kalamazoo team
The Ludmow PeeWees played- an exhibi-
tion game against the Kalaniazoo, Michi-
gan All Star PeeWees Sunday afternoon
with the local boys defeating their guests 3

The Kalamazoo boys play in a league
where all mad games are more than 70
miles away including Lansing, Flint and
Detroit. Games are played on weekends to
permit travel time and the players pay $250
to register for, the season plus $100 per
away game for transportation.
During the weekend tour of this area
they played:Goderich, Ripley and Lucknow
PeeW ee teams.
Kalamazoo opened the scoring against
Ludmowin the first period when a
scramble in front of the Lucknow net
SPORTS
resulted in a freak goal. The teams were
fairly evenly matched but solid netminding
from Lucknow goalie Paul Helm and rookie
goalie Peter Reavie made the difference.
Ludmow's three goals were scored by
Rod Crich who had two, both assisted by
Brad Murray, and Murray assisted by
Pieter Neufeld and Crich.
Lucknow PeeWees continued their
WOAA series with Teeswater Monday
night.
Lancers finish in fourth spot
The Lucknow Lancers finished the
season in fourth spot in their division with
a record of 9 wins, 11 losses and four ties.
Their playoff opponent has not been deter-
mined as there is a battle for top place in
the division.
The Lancers closed out the regular
season Tuesday/ night with a 6 - 6 tie
against Teeswater. The local team opened

broomball team
tops league
The Lucknow Ladies Broomball team
ended regular season play top of the Blyth
league with 12 wins, one tie and one loss.
Along with top place, the team also boasts
top scorer of the league, Dianne Gilley and
the goalie with the bestgoals against
average, Sheila Hunter with only two goals
scored against her all season.
The team is coached by Steve Chamney
with Lynn Taylor and Ken Fisher assisting.
The team is presently without sponsors.
Being first place in -the league entitles
the team to participate in the Regionals in
Palmerston March 1, 2 and 3 and March 8,
9, 10. This is the third consecutive year for
the team to qualify for the regionals.
The team is presently in a playoff series
against Brussels. Ludmow leads 1 game to
0, in the best three out five series. The
winner of this series goes on to play the
winner of Blyth vs Belgrave for the
championship. Games are held in Blyth on
Tuesday and or Thursday nights Good

The annual vestry meeting of Christ
Anglican Church, Fbit Albert was held
following the service on Sunday, February
3, 1985.
