Lochalsh couple entertain daughters' families for dinner
On Sunday Gordon and Nora Robb
entertained two of their daughters, sons-
in-law and. grandchildren, Edwin and
Janice McCutcheon and family of lions
Head and William and Shirley Irvin and
family of Ashfield Township for dinner.
George and Betty Moncrief spent a
couple of days visiting with their daughter,
Jane Ullrich and family of London and their
son, daughter-in-law and grandson, Rus-
sell, Lesley and Scott Moncrief of Aylmer.
Cecil and Jim Webster of Waterloo are
home for a week because Acorn Kitchens
of Kitchener closed its doors for a week due
to the lack of .orders just now.
Atlee Wise of Richfield, Ohio was up for
a couple of days for snowmobiling, but due
to the damp days, he returned home sooner
Speaks about
French immersion
The Lucknow Women's Institute held
their February meeting on Tuesday,
February 12 in the town hall with 17
members and one visitors in attendance.
Grace Gibson opened the meeting with a
poem, The Rhythm of the Seasons.
The guest speaker, Margaret Ferguson,
spoke on French Immersion. A discussion
followed with Lois Goodhue enlightening
everyone on the subject. Thelma Brown
thanked Margaret and presented her with
a gift.
Beth Ritchie read a poem, Winter. Mary
MacGillivray played several selections on
the harmonica.: Dorothy Broth gave the
motto, Power of Women and their place in
the world today.
Beth Ritchie conducted a contest and
'Mary MacGillivray and Edith Webster
were the 'winners. Winnie Gammie gave a
reading, Take Time. A Valentine cookie
contest was held with Mary MacGillivray,
Stella Tilbrook and Jean Whitby being the
winners.
The committee in charge, namely Beth
Ritchie, Winnie Gammie and Thelma
Brown served a /delicious dessert.

baby brother, Chad David, 6 lbs. 14 oz., at
Wingham and District Hospital on Febru-
ary 5, 1985. Proud parents are Ken and
Pamela Carter of R 2, Teeswater.

Lucknow thank God for the safe arrival of
their son, Adam Robert,'8 lbs. 13 oz., on
January 8, 1985 at St. Joseph's Hospital,

Jim and Cecil W ebster of Waterloo were
home with their parents, Wellington and
Kae Webster to enjoy snowmobiling for a
couple of days with their brother-in-law,
Atlee Wise and friend, Jack Arnold of
Richfield, Ohio. The boys found both the
snow and the weather were ideal

Christina /Megan, born in the Wingham
and District Hospital. Christina weighed in
at 6 lbs. '13 oz. A wee sister for Dean, Jay,
