People busy digging out from, heavy snowfall
This stormy weather keeps " the folks
busy, clearing their driveways of snow.
We are pleased to report Mrs. Gordon
Rintoul was able to return home on Friday
from University Hospital, London, with her
husband, Gordon Rintoul.
Dave Gibb and Fred Tiffin were at
University Hospital, London on Sunday to
visit Mrs. Fred Tiffin, a patient there.
Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Beecroft and Hugh
Sinnamon received word on Thursday of
last week that Rex Richardson. of Livonia,
Michigan/ passed away. They were fre-
quent visitors with them. His wife, the
former Audrey Carmichael, was from
Wingham Junction.
This community extends deepestsym-
pathy to the family and friends' of the late
Joe McMillan of Lucknow, who grew up to
young manhood at the family home farm,
two farm blocks from our village.
Visitors on the weekend with Mr. and
Mrs. Beecroft were daughter, Karen of
Kitchener and Ken Cinnamon of Wingham.
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Laidlaw, Michelle
and Jason of London spent the weekend
with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter
Elliott and his parents, My. and Mrs. Elroy
Laidlaw.
Agnes Farrier visited with. Mr. and Mrs:
Fred Davis and family from January 14 to
23.
This community extends their deepest
sympathy to Mrs. Dan Tiffin and family
and their relatives in the passing of Dan
Tiffin Monday at Wingham Hospital.

pathy to the relatives of Iris Purdon of
Wingham, who passed away Saturday
night at her home.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Frank, Robbie and
Jamie of. Teeswater visited Sunday with
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Gibson.
Whitechurch United Church annual
meeting was held in the church Tuesday
evening, January 22 at 8 p.m. The chair-
man was. Rev. G. Ball; The secretary was
Mrs. Evelyn Gibb.
Rev. G. Ball opened the meeting with a
short worship service followed by Mrs.
Gibb reading the minutes of the 1984
annual meeting.
The reports of U.C.W., . Session and
Mission and Services were read and
adopted.
The election of officers for 1985 included
delegates to Presbytery, Dave Gibb and,
Elmer Sleightholm; trustee board, Russel
Chapman, Clifford Laidlaw, Elmer Sleight-
