Dan Nich�ison celebrates
his 97th birthday Friday
Congratulations to Dan Nicholson who
will be celebrating his 97th birthday on
Friday, January . '11 at the home of his
daughter, Isabel and Jim Hunter. He is
looking forward to having the rest of his
family with him for dinner .that day.
Visiting New Years day with. Allan and
Violet Ritchie, Bryce, Wendy and Patrick
were Brenda and Jerry Huizinga of
Auburn, and Tom and Delores Culbert of
Dungannon. If was also Brenda's birthday..
We extend sympathy to Pat and Russ
Ritchie on the loss of her brother-in-law,.
Wallace Lacroix of Penetang, who died
Friday.

mas for theirfamily at the Lucknow.

Holiday visors with Herb and Marie
Wilkins were their daughter, Beverly of
Toronto and her sister, Nancy and George
Harris of Cedar Springs. Herb and Marie
were guests, with George and Judy Smyth
and family for New Years.
Donna Hazelden, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. L. Hazelden of Lucknow, recently
gratued from Georgian College of Applied
Arts and Technology's two year Computer
Program Course, making the Dean's
Honour List.
Mark couple's anniversary at Christmas
Mr. and. Mrs. Donald McEwan held their
Christmas dinner On Boxing Day. It was
also Mr. and Mrs. Douglas McEwan's 15th
wedding anniversary. on December 27th, so
Doug, Charlene and the boys were
honoured guests along with (Mary Ann)
Mr. and Mrs. Ross B'findley and family of
Dungannon, Duncan McEwan and Diane
Jones and family; On Sunday Mr. and Mrs.
Herman Fisher (Aisla Bushell) and their
daughter, Pte. Darlene. Fisher of Ottawa
visited at the McEwans.
Mr. and Mrs. Don Bertrand and family,
Winnifred, Bill and Brian Percy, Mrs. John
Barr and Donald. Barr and Mr. and Mrs.
Jack Barr from .here; and Mr. ' and Mrs.
Morley Bushell of Wingham and Margaret
of Goderich were guests of Mr. and Mrs.
Bob (Sharon Hodgins) Brooksand family at
Listowel on Christmas Day. .
Donald Barr returned to Waterloo after
spendingthe holiday here with his mother,
Mrs. John Barr.
Mr. and Mrs. Don Bertrand and family
returned to Simcoe on Thursday after a
nice holiday here. .

brought her father, Arthur Haldenby home
from Toronto where they visited relatives
and spent Christmas at the hbme of Mrs.
Whiteside Sr., where the family dinner was
held.

Mrs. Bertha Haldenby held a family
dinner when about 45 enjoyed the day
together and had a happy Christmas.
