Hire bye-law
enforcement officer
The Village of Lucknow has hired Jack
Crozier of Kincardine, the Bruce County
by-law enforcement officer, as the village's
by-law enforcement officer. Lucknow Vil-
lage Council asked Leo Murray, the former
county by-law enforcement officer if he was
interested in the position, and he declined.
Lucknow will continue to participate in
the county program' whereby the particip-
ating municipalities share the costs of the
by-law" enforcement officer. Contrary to
council's understanding, the county by-law
enforcement officer does not act as dog
catcher in any of the county's municipalit-
ies and Lucknow will continue with the
present arrangement whereby the village
hires both a by-law enforcementofficer and
a dog catcher. '

and the teachers. His report has been
described as the most critical of a school
board of any fact finding report.
Snobelen went on say in an interview
with The Sentinel, Monday, . Bastedo fails
to . reveal the ability of the Bruce county
taxpayer to pay for his recommendations
and what the teachers are asking for..
Snobelen said this is an obligation of the
fact finder's mandate under ' the labour
relations act.
Any additional increase beyond the 4.5
per cent offered' by the board will .be paid
for entirely by taxpayer's money, said
Snobelen, as the province is only prepared
to assist in the funding of four per cent
increases.
