Dainty-, delicious and healthful des-
serts
erserts do not necessarily call for a great
expenditure of money. Here are two
inexpensive dishes that will please the
moat fastidious:
Fig and Ries Cowie
% cup rice
2 cepa milk--*�-
14 cup sugar It
% teaspoon salt
1 egg
Cloak rice. milk, sneer and salt is
double -teeter until rice is tender. Add
beaten egg and chopped figs. Remove
from Are and flavor. Turn Into amau
molds which have been buttered ■nd
dredged In sugar. Set away to warm
plae•e until firm. Chill. remold when
ready to serve, surround with apricot
sauce. garnish with whipped cream
topped with a flg.

Put a cupful of rice Into a pint of

of butter the size of an egg. four eggs
_and the grated rind of it lemon. ]tut-
