Shannon Davies of Walton Public School symbolllcally lights the candles in the Jewish Menorah, a candelabrum with nine candles lighted in increasing numbers during Hannaukah. The skit was performed at the school’s Christmas Concert in Duffs Church on Thursday. "Festival of Lights" performed “A Festival of Lights” was the theme for the presentation that the Walton Public School pupils put on for their concert, in the basement of Duff’s United Church Thursday afternoon. The program consisted of a welcome introduction by Chad McCallum and Brad Hoegy. The First Christmas put on by the Kindergarten. The introduction by Brian Hawks, Ben Finlayson, Dennis Rykhoff, Catherine Bourne and Jillian Houston. For the song “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star”, angels were Wendy Glauser, Amy Shortreed, Alicia Dalton, Theresa Pryce, Melissa Dube, Amanda Comeau, Catherine Bourne, Pam­ ela Elliott and Sandra McNichol. For the song ‘ ‘O Star of Wonder’ ’, Mary and Joseph were played by Jillian Houston and Dennis Ryk­ NOEL Season's Greetings and Happy Holidays to one and all! During the song, “Out on the hills,’’ wisemen were: Christopher Sie- mon, Jason MacDonald, Darren Neault. The songs, “Away in a Manger” and “Wind through the olive trees” were sung. Canadian Customs was per­ formed by Grade one. The intro­ duction was by Armand Dube and Jennifer Lubbers. Christmas sym­ bols were performed by Barry Comeau, Jason Thompson, Ellen Workman, Sarah McLellan, Melis­ sa Harrison, Jamie Emmrich, Jamie Smith, Kerrie McClure and Kevin Bernard. Songs sung were: “O Christmas Tree’’, “Silver Bells”and “Santa Claus is coming to town.” A medley of Christmas Carols were “Deck the Halls’’, “Silent Night’’ and “Joy to the World’’.
