Gifts for the working woman The working woman receives dozens of gifts during the holidays. Employers and vendors, as well as family and friends, are anxious to extend their best wishes. So, it’s not unusual for the same present to turn up more than once. Tobesureyourgiftisunique and memorable, minimize the chances of it being duplicated. Here are some ideas on how to present a holiday original: •Think “personal” - Monograms and intimate special touches can personalizeany giftclassic. For instance, chocolate can be “cus tom made’ ’ in the shape of a house, pet or hobby. Initializing the standard pen and pencilsetordaily diary can help make that gift more thoughtful and unique. •Think “creative” - Christmas offers the opportunity to purchase special holiday gift packs not available at any other time of the year. For example, a favorite fragrance might be paired with a cleanser or lotion, and come in a reusable satchel. •Think “practical” - When send ing a gift directly to the office, it’s generally a good idea to make sure it’s “commutable.’’ This way, the receiver can decide whether to take it home or to keep it at her workplace.
