Phone 887-6645 Cranbrook people L. IRENE PEASE Miss L. Irene Pease, RR 1, Listowel, died Oct. 29, 1987 at Royal Alexander Hospital in Ed­ monton, Alberta. She was 84 years of age. Shewasbornin MorrisTown- shiponDec. 28,1902, the daughter of the late Eliga Pease and the former Elizabeth Young. She operated-a hairdressing business in Brussels for many years and was a Past Noble Grand and a member of Morning Star Rebekah Lodge No. 315 in Brus- Clare Veitch and daughter Janet of London spent the weekend of Nov. 1 with Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Adams and family at Manotick. Clare remained until Wednesday. Misses Sharon and Susan Engel. London, visited their grandmoth­ er, Mrs. Mac Engel on Sunday. Mrs. Margaret Waddell, Fuller­ ton , spent several days visiting Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Strickler. Mr. and Mrs. Stuart Stevenson spent the weekend with family members in Toronto. A number of ladies took in the Annual Hobby and Craft Show on Saturday, November 7 at the Elma Community Centre. Eveline Morrow passes Wl plans Christmas dinner TheNovember meetingof the Cranbrook Women’s Institute was held at the home of Mrs. Wilfred Strickler. Seven members and four visitors answered the roll call “Name a former reeve." The president, Mrs. Leslie Knight opened the meeting, assisted by Mrs. Donald Perrie, in the absence of the secretary, Mrs. Frank Workman. Mrs. Jim Hart gave the financial report and Mrs. John Vanass reported on the district Fall Rally held in Goderich. Mrs. Leslie Knight gave a report on the Guelph Area Convention held in Atwood. Mrs. Leona Armstrong, present Reeve of Grey township, was guest speaker and all benefitted from her informative talk. She conducted a quiz to which many had not all the answers. The December meeting is under the PRO and is to be a Christmas dinner at the home of Mrs. Vanass, the roll call to be a gift exchange. MRS. L. EVELINE MORROW A long-time Grey township resident, Mrs. L. Eveline Morrow, passed away in Stratford General Hospital on Nov. 6, 1987 at age 83. Mrs. Morrow was born on Oct. 11, 1904 in Mornington Township, the daughter of the late Isaac Reid and the former Mina Robinson. She married A. Edward Morrow on Sept. 20, 1930 in Mornington township. He predeceased her in 1986. Mrs. Morrow was a member of Trinity United Church, Listowel and of the United Church Women of that congregation. She is survived by one son, Cliff Morrow and his wife Mary of Stratford, and one daughter, Mar­ ion and her husband William Young of Blyth. One brother, Warren Reid of Listowel also survives as do seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. One brother, Elmer, predeceased her. The funeral service was held from the Robert Trench Funeral Home, Listowel, on Monday, Nov. 9, 1987. Rev. Murray McLeod officiated. Interment was in Grace Church Cemetery, Millbank. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario were accepted as expressions of sympathy. seis. She had resided at RR 1, Listowel for many years and was a member of St. Andrew’s Presby­ terian Church in Molesworth. She is survived by three broth­ ers: Bert of RR 4, Brussels; William, RR2, Blyth and Lloyd, RR 2, Blyth as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceas­ ed by three brothers, Allan, Walter and Malcolm as well as a dear friend James A. Lucas. The funeral took place from the Robert Trench Funeral Home, Listowel on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 1987 with Rev. Paul Chambers officiat- ng. Interment was in Fairview Cemetery.
