Dale Mclnnes wed in Glencoe McINNES - FRALEIGH On August 15, 1987 Trinity United Church, Glencoe, decorat­ ed with roses and mother-of-pearl bows, was the setting for a beautiful candlelight ceremony whenCarrieLeighJFraleigh and Dale Joseph Mclnnes were united in marriage. It was a touching double ring ceremony performed by Reverend Robert Biggar in which the couple recited vows that they had written themselves. The music was pro­ vided by soloist Linda Keech and organist Liz Thornicroft. Carrie is the youngest daughter of John and MariLynn Fraleigh of Glencoe. Dale is the son of Dan and Anne Mclnnes of Blyth. The bride chose an old-fashion­ ed gown of white summer satin and lace. It had a high, sheer lace neckline and a pearl and mother- of-pearl beaded bodice with a large satin bow atthe back. The dress was complimented by a headpiece made by the bride consisting of pearls, white flowers and flowers that matched her attendants’ dresses. She carried her mother’s .wedding Bible covered with an Arrangement of orchids, pearlsand vthite and yellow roses with yellow and teal trailers. The matron of honour was Linda Cutler, sister of the bride and the bridesmaids were Jennifer Bachur and Terri-Lynn Jeffery, friends of the couple, Charlene Mossop, cousin of the bride and Nancy Mclnnes, sister of the groom. The attendants wore dresses designed by the bride and match­ ing skull caps. The matron of honour’s dress was dark teal and the bridesmaids were light aqua. The attendants carried elegant bouquets of lilies, yellow roses, pearls and tulling. The flower girl was Shayna Patterson, friend of the couple. She wore a white dress with teal trim and carried a “Flower Teddy Bear’’ complete with flowers and veil. The groom looked very dapper in his black tuxedo and tails with a boutonniereof a white rose with teal accents. Peter Simpson, friend of the couple, servedasbestman.The guests were ushered by Bob Mclnnes, brother of the groom; David Gillett, Perry Patterson and Jim Gillett, all friends of the couple. They all wore black tuxedoes and tails with ties and cummberbunds to match the bridesmaids’ dresses. Their boutonnieres also matched the girls’ bouquets. Mikey Mueller, friend of the couple, was the ring bearer and he carried a “Ring Bear” complete with rings and boutonniere. The guests were greeted at the church by Stan Cutler Jr., brother- in-law of the bride, who presented the ladies with a white rose and Vicky Simpson, friend of the couple, who presented the gentle­ men with an order of service. The bride’s mother wore a stunning two-piece, tea-length peach coloured dress with an ivory lace and peach hat with ivory accessories. The groom’s mother wore a beautiful two piece tea­ length dress in dusty rose with a matching hat and white accessor­ ies. Both fathers were handsomely attired in dark grey tuxedoes with boutonnieres to match their wives’ dresses. The reception was held at the Glencoe Agricultural Hall which was beautifully decorated with mother-of-pearl bows, teal and white balloon bouquets and a balloon arch of teal and white. The couple were swept away by limousine to their honeymoon at a resort on the Bay ofQuinte near Picton.
