Couple to reside in Bracebridge Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Armstrong - Photo by Walden Photography ARMSTRONG-ORTH Sandra Anne Orth and Bruce Stanley Armstrong exchanged wedding vows in a double-ring ceremony at St. John’s Anglican Church, August 8, 1987at3:30. The marriage was solemized by Reverend Pat Nunn amid a setting of flowers candelabras, with a family candle at the alter. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Garry Orth of RR 1, Listowel. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Armstrong of Brussels. Mrs. Clarence McCutcheon of Brussels played traditional wedd­ ing music and accompanied the soloist Mrs. Rob Demaray of Brussels when she sang, “The Wedding Song’’, “The Wedding Prayer’’. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a full-length, white, satin gown featuring a high lace neckline, fitted bodice trimm­ ed with lace, sequins and pearls, long satin sleeves, ruffled train. Her elbow-length veil was held in placewithacomb madeof white pearls, sequins and flowers. She carried a nosegay of pink roses, pearls, ivy and baby’s breath. She wore diamond earrings and neck­ lace, a gift from the groom. The maid of honor was Miss Susie Smith, Ethel, Ontario. She wore a pink cocktail satin dress with puffed short sleeves, tiny pink flowers with floating pearl combs and pink satin shoes, and carried a nosegay of pink and burgundy roses with baby’s breath. The bridesmaids were Miss Leanne Armstrong, Brussels, Miss Leanne Fraser, RR 1, Listo­ wel, and Miss Tammy Rose, Brussels. They were dressed the same as the maid of honor. Amanda Cummings, RR 1, Listo­ wel, friend of the bride was the flowergirl, dressed in a floor­ length satin gown, trimmed with lace, a ring of flowers in her hair matching the crocheted basket. Finn of St. Patrick’s Church, Kinkora was officially approved as the new board chaplain for the Huron- Perth County Roman Catholic Separate School Board by the Most Reverend John Sherlock, Bishop of the London Diocese on Thursday, October 1. The announcement was made at the Trustee-Staff banquet of the School board in Seaforth, Oct. 2. was the ring bearer. The best man was Brian Deitner, Brussels and ushers were Ron Kirkconnell, Goderich, Brian Arm­ strong, London and Ricky Smith, Listowel, attired in black tuxedoes, with pink bow ties and cumber­ bunds. Following the ceremony a dinner and reception was held at Brussels, Morris and Grey Community Centre, Brussels. The happy cou­ ple travelled to*Niagara Falls, the Eastern United States and the Wheels Inn, Chatham and now reside at 30 Ontario Street, Bracebridge. Out of town guests were from Nova Scotia, Australia, Whitby, Toronto, New Hamburg, Ottawa and surrounding areas. chaplain Approved at previous meetings of the School Board and the clergy of the Huron and Perth area Father Finn will begin his duties immediately. He will attend school board meetings where as chaplain he will be consulted on such issues as religious and family life, child abuse and special education such as Aids. He will present the views of Bishop John Sherlock and of the Huron-Perth deanery.
