The ushers were Len Archambault, Ken Arm­ strong, Don McGregor and Neil Salverda. Rev. Snihur welcomed all and gave the call to worship and the announcements. Next Sunday they will be celebrating the anniversary at two special services. The morning service will be at 11:15 a.m. followed by fellowship time downstairs. The evening service will be at 7:30 p.m. Rev. Dave Woodall will be speaking. Special music will be given by the Joint Choir from Ontario Street United Church and Londesboro. A fellow­ ship time will follow. Bring your friends. Thankswas given to the Scott family for providing special music. This morning Ken was on guitar, Christie on piano and a trio consisted of Laura, Billy Jim and Shannon. A hymn about Londes- boroChurch, theChurch on the hill was sung. The U.C.W. meeting will be on October 21 at 8 p.m. at the church. Please note the change of date. The Explorers were thanked for decorating the Church. Rev. Snihur invited Leo and Lynda Horbanuik to present their daugh­ ter, Mary Janeforbaptism. The children were invited to the front to see the baby. Bob Trick, clerk of session represented the Church sesssion and Edythe Beacom presented a carnation for the Church. The children’s song, “1 will enter his gates with Thanksgiving in my heart’ ’ was sung. The junior teacher was Florence Cartwright. The story was about Cindy, Sally and Muffet and buried treasure. The minutes for Missions, were given by Brenda Radford on request from the Presbytery to donate $200 to support missions. Sheila Schrider read the minutes for Missions. The scripture read­ ing was from Matt. 3: John’s preachings. The sermon was “Giving thanks for bringing in the fruit’’. Every­ one was given paper fruits and were to put on the back, “What we are thankful for ” and they were put on the tree. Laura, Bert and Joanne Lyon and Edythe Beacom attended the 25th wedding anniversary for Ken and MargaretGaunt at Hanover on Saturday evening. Paul and Marg Brunkard spent Thanksgiving with Les and Shirley McGowan at Godfrey. Clara Riley spent Thanksgiving with her daughter Marie and Bruce Kelly and Kathy in Thunder Bay. The family of Allen and Ruth Shaddick spent Thanksgiving with them on the weekend: Staff Sergeant Richard and Jean Shad­ dick Sandra, David.
