County to reintroduce bill to change library board BY CHRIS LAWS The library board has again requested that private members bill be introduced that makes the board committee which is respon­ sible to council, as well as being composed of members of council. The county has previously tried to introduce such a bill during the last meeting of the provincial legislature; however, the bill did not pass before an election was called. Thus, the bill is considered dead, and must be re-introduced. It is reported that Beth Ross is currently employed as assistant chief librarian in Oxford County, and has been employed in that capacity for the past nine years. Ms. Ross was one of six final candidates interviewed for the job. Book circulation was reported again to be down during the month of July. Circulation had almost climbed to the average level during the month of June, but was down by 3,057 books for the month of July. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Stratton of Hanover and the bride, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold McClinchey, RR 1, Auburn.
