Mrs. Mollie Grant and her son, Barrie Grant of Denfield have returned from a trip to Selkirk where they attended a family reunion. There were eight brothers and sisters of Mrs. Grant’s at the reunion and two were unable to attend. They also visited her son in Winnipeg. Euchre will start again on Monday, September28at8p.m. in Blyth Memorial Hall. The story hour will start again on Thursday, September24at 1:45 p.m. at the Blyth library. All pre-school children are welcome. BY MELD A McELROY Keith Roulston, editor-in-chief of the Citizen, at the time of its first anniversary last October when Keith published resumes of his staff, mentioned that I, a voluntary reporter, did not wish recognition for my articles, and he has kindly respected my wishes. But today is a different story, for I feel very proud and a little boastful. Yesterday, Sept. 20,1 celebrated my 80th birthday in great fashion, thanks to my seven member family; sister Kathleen Bender and brother-in-law Archie; brother-in-law Jamie Sims; niece and nephew Linda and Howard < RADFORD-GULUTZEN Paulene and Alex Gulutzen of RR 3, Blyth are pleased to announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter Darlene to Stephen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Rad­ ford of Londesboro. The wedding will take place September 26, 1987 at Londesboro United Church at 3 p.m. Reception to follow at Blyth Community Centre. Rafuse; and great niece and nephew, Sara and John Rafuse. I was their guest last Sunday, Sept. 20, at a five-course brunch at the Little Inn Bayfield, which they realized has always been a favour­ ite village and lake resort of mine. To my recollection, I had never had an orchid corsage pinned on nor enjoyed the privilege of cutting such an artistic looking birthday cake. This Little Inn one was a “beaut” both inside and out. On Oct. 23 at 4 p.m. a “four o'clock madness sale” will be held. Webster’s Store will provide a sneak preview of the items for sale in the Silent Auction. Those who can’t go to the Church, may place their bid at Webster’s during the week of Oct. 13 - 17. The bid boxes will be opened during the Bazaar on Saturday, Oct. 24.
