Waiting list for space at show Continued From page 18 has on a waning list. Mrs. Houston, who is a child care worker and runs a day-care facility at her home, says she really enjoys her job with the Craft Show, and looks forward to it every year. She first became'involved with the Blyth Reunion when she came down with her husband, Bob, and father-in-law, Wayne, both of whom show steam tractors on the grounds, and has been a keen advocate of the arts and crafts display ever since. She has also been instrumental in bringing in such popular touches as the clown and puppet shows put on for kids by the Gospel Scene-o-Felt Associa tion of Sarnia, and the hourly draws conducted for arts and crafts items donated by the exhibitors. Joan and Bob Houston have three children, ranging in age from three to 12, and the kids will all be at the Blyth show as well, brought down by Joan’s mother-in-law, Bea Houston, who is herself a. popular figure at the Reunion, the person in charge of the souvenir booth in the Arena. And although both Houston steam engines will also be at Blyth this year. Bob Houston will be missing. As chairman of the Antiques and Historical Committee at the Inter national Plowing Match at Mea- ford on September 15-19, he will be tied up this year during the Blyth Reunion. And as a very active member of the same committee, Joan herself will leave directly from Blyth to go and help out at the plowing match, sending the kids back home with their grandmother for a few days, while she continues herannual hard-working “holi day.” Don Henry & Family Maitland Manor Farm Piping hot beans, cooked in an ancient bean pot, are one of the taste treats of the Reunion.
