HURON TRACTOR BLYTH 523-4244 EXETER 235-1115 WALKERTON 881-2231 During the week of the Huron Pioneer Thresher Reunion the population of Blyth grows con siderably. Joe Hallahan, whois in charge of camping at the Reunion, estimates there were about 150 campers at the Thresher Reunion last year when it marked its 25th anniver sary . He does n ’ t know how many to expect this year but the number of campers has grown steadily. Now in his third year as chairman of the camping commit tee, he says that there seems to be new people coming each year and when they talk to him they indicate they’ll be back. “Some of the people seem to think this show has points over the rest of them (the other steam shows in the province) he said. This year the association has advertised provision of “primi tive” camping facilities because last year some camper arrived without cords to connect them selves to the power supplies. It’s difficult trying to plan the camping area, Joe says, because although some people call ahead to reserve a space, you never know until people arrive the size of all the trailers or motor homes and how you canfiteverybody in. Every body also wants to reserve the spots under the half-dozen trees on the grounds, he says. Another difficulty, hesays, is getting enough help to organize the campers when they arrive. A half dozen or so workers are needed and with the association members having so many jobs to do more outside volunteers come in handy. 19»7 We extend our to everyone attending the 26th Reunion of the Pioneer Thresher and Hobby Association SNELL FEED a„a SUPPLIES DEALERS FOR FARM EQUIPMENT Ltd.
