TIM PRIOR Donna Munro, Tim Prior wed in Perth On July 4, 1987, Donna Mar­ garet Munro and Timothy James Prior were united in marriage at a beautiful lawn wedding at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Munro of Perth, Ontario. Tim is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Prior and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Lowe, all of Brussels. The bride’s attendants were Jane Munro, maid of honour, Susan Mu nro, Debbie Prior and Health Minister turns sod at CPH Provincial Liberal cabinet mini­ sters were much in evidence Friday as Minister of Health and Bruce MP Murray Elston turned the first shovelful of sod in front of the Clinton Public Hospital, symboloz- ing the beginning of construction for the hospital’s new obstetrics wing. He was assisted by Mary De Jong, head nurse in obstetrics at the hospital, and by June Boussey, a member of the new wing’s fund-raising committee. Also present was Minister of Agriculture and Huron MP Jack Riddell, who joined his colleague in lauding the efforts of the provincial government in making the hospital addition a reality by providing $400,000 in funding towards its construction, an amount matched Cheryl Perkins. The groom was attended by Gary McCutcheon, asbestman, withDavid Munro, Keith McLean and Jim Sullivan as ushers. Allan Munro, nephew of the bride, and Laurie Prior, sister of the groom, acted as ring bearer and flower girl. Rev. Miriam Stroud officiated at the marriage while soloists were Nellie Dadgeand Betty Vanhie. Master of ceremonies was Clar­ over the past year by the people of Clinton and of Huron County, under the direction of the Fund­ raising Committee. “Much credit must go to the people of Clinton and of the county for their efforts,’’Mr. Riddell said. Mr. Elston praised the committee for its ingenuity in the fund-raising campaign, which he called ‘ ‘one of the most unique in the province,’’ thenaddedthatbothheand Mr. Riddell were extremely proud to be members of the present Liberal cabinet, noting that under the previous Progressive Conserva­ tive government “hospitalfunding had not been kept up to date.’’ The Fund-raising Committee reached its original goal last week, almost two months ahead of ence McCutcheon. After a buffet supper on the lawn, a.reception was held at Farrell Hall in Perth. Out of town guests were from Brussels and area, London, Cornwall, Ottawa, Barry’s Bay, North Bay and Sudbury. Donna and Tim are now residing at RR 3, Brussels, Ontario. schedule, but has been asked by the hospital ’ s Board of Directors to stay on to raise an additional $150,000 to offset unexpected costs which came to light recently. One of the major efforts in raising the extra money will be through the sale of tickets for the second annual car draw, to be held October 3 at the Clinton Legion. Grand prize will be a 1988 Ford van, donated by Hart Motors of Seaforth, with 15 other prizes for a combined value of $22,765. Only 350 tickets will be sold on the draws, at $100 each. Ten tickets worth $150 each will be drawn, interspersed with four draws for travel packages, donated by local travel agencies, and culminating in the drawforthe van.
