Father Joseph Hardy of Sarnia and Father John Pluta of Clinton officiated. Matron of honour was Una Armstrong of Stratford, friend of the bride. Bridemaids were Nancy Laudenbach of Toronto, cousin of the bride; Wendy Murray of Walton, sister of the groom; Barb Forbes of Clinton, friend of the bride and Shelley Becker of Clinton, friend of the bride. Christie Medd of Seaforth, cousin of the bride, was the flower girl. The best man was Rod Merner of Holmesville, friend of the groom. ..Guests were ushered by Dan Reid of Blyth, friend of the groom; Kevin Armstrong of Clinton, bro­ ther of the bride; Mike Becker of Clinton, friend of the groom and Len Van Wonderen of London, friend of the groom. The ringbear­ er was Chad Armstrong of God­ erich, cousin of the bride. Phone 887-6645 Surprise party held On Sunday, August 9, the family of Clare Veitch entertained at a surprise 80th birthday party with a dinner at the Brussels Legion. About 50 friends and relatives attended from London, Ayr, Galt and Kitchener. The John Saxon family enjoyed vacationing on Rice Lake. They visited Peterborough and Serpent Mounds Provincial Park. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Grisdale and family visited his father in North Bay recently. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Smith had a holiday at Lake Erie. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Dean, Stoney Creek andMr. and Mrs. Jack Bishop, Guelph, visited Clare Veitch recently. Mrs. Patrick Adams and child­ ren Maureen, David, and Heather, of Manotick spent several days with her father, Clare Veitch and other family members. Rev. Don and Mrs. McInnis, London, attended the birthday party and later were supper guests of Wilfred and Mrs. Strickler. Mrs. David Kerley, Gorrie, visited Mrs. Mac Engel on Wed­ nesday. J
