Jesus not to fear people but God in
relation to Hell: "1 tell you, my
friends (people who believe in
Jesus Christ as their Lord and
Saviour), do not be afraid of those
who kill the body but cannot
afterward do anything worse. I will
show you whom to fear: fear God,
who after killing, has the authority
tothrowintoHell.” Peoplewhoare
not true servants of Jesus ought to
wake up spiritually because ‘‘that
servant’s master will come back
one day when the servant does not
expect him and at a time he does
not know. The master will cut him
intopieces and make him share the
fateofthe hypocrites. There he will
cry and gnash his teeth. (Matthew
24:51).
In Luke 16: 19-31 we have an
account by Jesus of a man who

rejected Jesus as his Lord and
Saviourandwent to Hades, the
place oftorment where such people
go until they are resurrected to
stand before the great white throne
judgement (revelation 20: 13-15).
The suffering, through real, is not
physical. The man in Jesus’ story
pleaded: ‘‘Take pity on me, and
send Lazarus (a righteous man) to

cool off my tongue, because I am in
great pain in this fire.”
Readers, don’t be deceived by
all the false teachings about

God’s Word. Study it daily, pray
and follow Jesus. Each of us can
escape Hell and be in Heaven if our
lives clearly reflect to others:
‘‘There is no condemnation now for
those who live in union with Jesus
Christ” (Romans 8: 1).
