Phone 887-9487 Holidays bring visitors to Belgrave families Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hewitt of St. Catherines were Wednesday visitors at the home of their cousins Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Stonehouse. Mr. and Mrs. Grant McBumey, Stephen and Renee of Middleton, Nova Scotia are spending a few days with his mother Mrs. Robena McBumey, and will also visit with other relatives. Barbara Coultes of Toronto visited a few days last week with her mother Mrs. Janisa Coultes. Mrs. Alex Nethery, Mrs. Glenn Coultes, Mrs. Jim Hunter and Mrs. RossHigginsattendedthe F.W.I.O. 90th Anniversary Con­ vention at North Bay. They enjoyed tours, workshops and the banquet at the Memorial Gardens. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Newton of Hamiota, Manitoba, visited with Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Black for a few days the first week in July. Visiting at the home of Mrs. Elizabeth Procter over the July 12 weekend were Marjorie Procter and Phillip Stopforth, both of London. Karen and Kevin Procter of RR 5, Brussels also visited with their grandmother, Mrs. Elizabeth Procter and all attended the Procter reunion. Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Makas and Alicia spent July 12 weekend with Mrs. Mabel Wheeler. Mrs. Dorothy Logan and Mi­ chelle Arruda, who has been holidaying with her grandmother, visited on Sunday at the home of the latters parents Mr. and Mrs. Americo Arruda of Fergus. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Logan and boys of Wyoming called on Mrs. Dorothy Logan on the weekend. 5dt/> Procter reunion i There was lots of good stuff out at bargain prices during the Belgrave Co-op’s annual yard sale last Saturday, with lawn and garden supplies and equipment, toys, tools and other items all snapped up in short order. John Dabrowski of Amberley, left, was on hand early, as were Nancy and Gordon Folkard of Belgrave, with children Craig and Kendra. I f i attracts 63 to Belgrave The 56th Procter reunion was held Sunday, July 12 at the East Wawanosh Public School with an attendance of 63. A social time was enjoyed during the afternoon. The Activity Com­ mittee conducted games on the lawn for the children. A delicious lunch was served followed by a short business meeting by Presi­ dent Frank Procter. Minutes of the last reunion and treasurer’s report was given by Mrs. Don (Marlene) Procter. Officers for 1988 are: President, Arnold Spivey, vice-president, Charlie Procter; secretary-trea­ surer, Mrs. Ken Alton; lunch committee, Mrs. Harold Smits, Mrs. Arnold Spivey, Mrs. Ron Hill and Marjorie Procter; activity committee, Jennifer Procter, Kar­ en Procter and Jeff Hill. The 1988 reunion will be held July 10 at the same place. Relatives were present from Burlington, Tavistock, Kitchener, London, Ingersoll, Seaforth, Lis- towel, Wingham, Brussels, Blyth and Belgrave. Special guests were Mr. and Mrs. Ernest West from Lopez, Washington. Edgar family members gather for Belmore picnic Thirty relatives attended the 39th Edgar reunion held at the Belmore Community Park, Sun­ day, July 12. Sports, for young and old, were conducted by Mrs. Irlma Edgar of Wingham and Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Edgar of RR 4, Wingham. Rev. William Henderson of Luck­ now was asked to say grace and all enjoyed a smorgasbord meal. President Rev. William Hender­ son conducted the business for the meeting and the minutes and treasurer’s report were given by Mrs. George Gibson of Wingham. Officers for 1988 are: President, Rev, William Henderson; vice- president, Mrs. Harvey Edgar; secretary-treasurer, Mrs. George Gibson; sports committee, Mrs. Beth Payne and Mrs. William Henderson. Relatives present were from Mississauga, Petrolia, Kitchener, Clinton, Teeswater, Lucknow, Gorrie, Wingham and Belgrave. 1988 reunion will be held at the Belmore Community Park, Sun­ day, July 10. He used the order for Adult Baptism and Confirmation as presented in the Service Book to receive Kenneth Procter to Knox United church membership. Mrs. Kenneth (Lila) Procter was then welcomed to the charge by trans­ feral of her certificate to Belgrave. The congregation stood to signi­ fy their support for the couple as they were welcomed by the members of Session. The minister stated in his communion message that a small square of bread will provide some body sustenance but the Sacra­ mental symbols give spiritual fortitude from within. Each person must answer finally to his master for his actions. Mrs. George Procter, organist, was supported in the hymn singing by a large choir.
